It always distresses me to see older/dominant baby pick on the younger, compiunder by mama feeding only her first-born 😢 So glad dad came and fed his youngest baby! Maybe he was bulkued as a baby too. All isvwell now❤
These Eaglets make themselves understood with gesturer!! The older brother says to the little one!! L'm warning you don't come near, the food it's all mine!! 😊
Parasitas assassinas, comem toneladas de carne e depois de grande não tem forças nas pernas para ficar de pé, a mãe ainda atem que alimentar esses parasitas.
It's always the Dads that make sure the youngest is fed. I think that is why when something happens to the dads the youngest usually dies. I've watched a lot of nest cameras and the Dads are the best for providing to all the babies.
I tend to agree. Dads often pick up the slack to ensure survival of their offspring since moms usually like to do most of the feedings and practice “first come, first served” policy. And since many eagle ladies are quite bossy, it’s especially nice to see the dads stepping up and not shying away from the feeding duties.
Why do they submit and don't they fight back? I've seen them kill the smaller birds that seem to have only been born to give the older ones something to kill. These are the same size, why the submission?
Well, this is how it usually goes among bald eagle nestlings…One of them, mostly the older one and especially if it’s a female, exerts dominance over the younger ones. It sure looks tough and can be distressing, but there’s one certain good thing coming out of it - the youngest eaglets usually obtain very good survival skills which serve them well in later years 😇 Both Fern and Thunder thrived and fledged ❤️ For example, among raptors like Lesser Spotted Eagles, the oldest almost always will kill it’s younger sibling, it’s just how it is in the wild. Sorry for taking so long to respond, taking a break from my YT channel. Anyway, it’s good that the choice is left with us - we can take a break from livestreams whenever they become too much emotionally 😇
Yes, they both made it growing into beautiful, strong young eagles😇 They were around for a while co-existing in quite a friendly way, but still engaging in healthy competition over food whenever parents brought something 😁 Hope, they are still well and soaring in the sky somewhere ❤️
@@bplayerr1 My pleasure! I really love Eagle Country's Abby & Blazer. The bad news are though that the crazy storm in Florida took down the nest tree and three of EC's cameras - I think there will be no live stream this season😔
@@bplayerr1 I am so sorry, it was devastating for many, also the wildlife😢 There are no words. But in regard to this couple - EC reported on FB that they have seen one of them, hopefully the other one shows up soon 🤞🏻
Such is the eaglets’ life🤷🏻♀️ One is always older and very often - the dominant one. But they both grew up nicely and hopefully are soaring the sky somewhere❤️😇
Not sure. I think he knows that his sister is just nearby 😇 While Grinnell Jr. hangs here, Lindsay likes to explore the nearby roofs according to Moon Rabbit Rising photos on Instagram😁 He could be hungry though. Anyway, Junior is one of the most vocal peregrine chicks that I have ever seen 😂
Many people thought these chicks wouldn't have a chance after Grinnell died. Along comes Alden and now Lindsay has fledged. Grinnell Jr shouldn't be too far behind. What a beautiful saga
Indeed, it is. This outcome has exceeded all possible expectations after everything that Grinnell and Annie went through. We have lost Grinnell, but his legacy continues to live on 💗 Grinnell's giving a thumbs up to Alden and Annie from up above 😇
I started watching when I heard about Grinnell. I live in NH and watch the falcons on the Brady Sullivan Tower. I know I watched Cal Falcons a ton more than our own falcons. I'll keep watching.
@@paulamears4769 Oh, you're so lucky to have peregrine falcons in your area 😍 In Latvia, we don't have nesting peregrine falcons, but they are sometimes spotted along our coastline or in harbours making their way to the nesting areas. We have plenty of beautiful birds, but I have just fallen in love with peregrine falcons, can't help myself 😆😇
Yes, I am lucky to live in Manchester NH and I'm not too far from the BST. I fell in love with falcons and all raptors. We also have Bald Eagles in the area. Though no camera. I wish I could send you a falcon nest box so you could see it first hand.
@@paulamears4769 Thank you, you’re so lovely! ❤️ I love bald eagles too. My highlight this season has been Eagle Country and Abby & Blazer 😇 Not to overly advertise or anything, but if you want to check out more live streams, these are the Latvian ones: ru-vid.com Some of them are sadly not nesting this year, like Ospreys, White-tailed Eagles, Black Storks, etc., but we are a true white stork and lesser spotted eagle country, lots of them here😇❤️
This is so cute ☺️. They get along so well. I'm so happy that Alden came when he did. Perfect timing for the survival of these chicks. One of nature's miracles.
🤗 Their communication is an absolute treat. Alden not only saved Annie’s chicks, but he lifted the heavy fog of Grinnell’s passing. He showed the light at the end of the tunnel for Annie and her future offspring. How brave of him!🥰😇
