911 dispatchers play such a critical role in emergency response, often being the first point of contact during crises. What do you think are the biggest challenges dispatchers face in high-stress situations? #PublicSafety #911Dispatcher
4:05 Yeah, being a DRE makes you so good at detecting impairement you can even detect it when it isn't there. You just point to any trivial observation and claim, based on your "expert training," that it's indication of impairment, or just make some crap up that didn't happen. That way you can arrest those hard-core "impaired" drivers who conceal their "impairment" by driving correctly.
3:36 How do you know the driver's normal heart rate, blood pressure, other biological measurements, or his normal appearance? You don't. And you're not a doctor or medical professional of any kind. Stop using junk science to arrest people who don't look the way you think they should or whose medical condition doesn't match the fresh out of the academy cheetah that you are.
1:42 No, you don't want to make sure the occupant is okay to drive, you want to make an arrest, probably because you get awards from MADD or a similar organization for making arrests and your department gets grant money for fighting a problem that is either exaggerated or non-existent, but which you only get more money for if you make arrests. Otherwise, you wouldn't be getting behind the wheel of a police car and make the decision to use junk science to arrest innocent people. Yes, Drug Recognition Evaluator (DRE) is junk science created so cops can squeeze an arrest out of people who blow zero or under the limit for alcohol. The DRE "signs of impairment" are either subjective or can have innocuous explanations, but cops ignore contraindications of impairment. It's called confirmation bias. Many police even fabricate "signs of impairment" that didn't even happen. That's called perjury. Just admit you can't really accurately tell if someone is impaired or not. Here are some clues that someone is impaired: a crash or real erratic driving. That is, real erratic driving, not a fake report of erratic driving necessary to justify the arrest. If you're having to lie in your report (which includes bending the facts), the person probably isn't impaired. The field sobriety tests are junk science as well. The medical community laughs at these. For the HGN, you are not an ophthalmologist. You do not know what medical conditions the subject may have, and it's possible neither does the subject himself. For the one leg stand and walk and turn, these are bizarre maneuvers that no one does on a daily basis. Not being a gymnast or an athlete is not a crime. Besides, most the time the police just lie anyway to justify the arrest. There is no balance involved in driving a car, the Registry of Motor Vehicles doesn't test balance during a driving test, and different people can have naturally different levels of balance. Great, you went to the academy and took physical fitness training. You're young and in shape. Not everyone is. They don't deserve to go to jail for it so you can get an award from an organization that makes money off you arresting people or so your department can get ongoing grant money. The problem is there is no deterrent for police to objectively determine when someone is not under the influence and let the person go. There is every incentive to arrest a person, even if the person isn't impaired, and no penalty for doing so. Here's how you can determine if someone is capable of driving a car: let them drive a car. It can be a car simulator. They exist for airplanes, and I'm pretty sure they exist for cars too. But police don't want to accurately identify when people aren't impaired because it would eat into their arrest numbers and the resulting revenue. Great, you can get certified as a Drug Recognition Evaluator and teach it to other people. The same is true for Reiki and tarot. It's all nonsense that people made up from nothing. At the very least, anytime you're wanting to arrest someone based on your DRE "training," have the person first be examined by a doctor. One who is independent and doesn't get awards for making arrests or a cut of the resulting revenue, and who has taken an oath of integrity. But you would never do that because it's too expensive and it would eat into your numbers. It's too expensive to, before you wreck someone's life, make sure you're getting it right. The worst part is, from the DRE training materials I've seen, when a blood test comes back clear, you are taught and teach that you were nonetheless correct in arresting the person, with some miserable excuse as to why the lab didn't concur. Of course, when those lab results come back weeks later, you've already smashed that person's life with a sledgehammer. You don't care. Accuracy is too much effort. You just arrest whoever you feel like. In your mind, there's no reason not to.
She is setting up everything and waiting for him. He is trapped when he comes to the house. She is the instigator. He is the victim. He just intuitively reacts to what happen to him. He is a man. He is stronger. The scene you see is the consequence of the fight between a man and a woman. She is a good actor and liar. He tries to leave and react intuitively. The woman chases him and stabs him in the back. The foreman of the Jury sees through the depth of the incident. The verdict is fair and unbiased. Please give the man the justice he deserves. The woman get what she deserves. She tries to squeeze him every penny even after they divorced.
I would like to hear from Edina police on the verdict. And how stunned they were he didn’t get attempted murder in the first degree. He should have gotten at least 30 yrs. Then she would be safe. Instead the crazy head juror who must hate women lets him only get 3 years for what should be attempted premeditated murder. I’m so sorry Lee, I hope you see this. I would sue true crime investigates. They did a horrible job on this case.
Comapazine is a terrible drug, it’s used for nausea, and some people get compazine syndrome and it’s like Benzo syndrome and it’s ruins their lives. I can’t take that stuff. It makes me horribly sick and you get hyper and can’t relax.
Took me 12 yrs to have enough seniority to request and receive Chritmas Day off ! After 22 yrs of service, it left me with cardio-vascular problems big time. 2 heart attacks and 4 TIAs by age 60.
The research on the chevrons is actually inconclusive. This is like the debate of fire truck color. At this point, with 100 strobes on a truck it is more effective than the truck color. Then there is the debate about strobe light. They get drivers attentions, but they also disorient drive which is a whole another problem, as bad or worse. Now you are seeing large lighting that flashes slowly. The large light can be seen well, and the slow flash doesn't disorient drivers. Also, the NFPA does not require the chevrons. It is ONLY a recommendation, and they have not done any research on it, except look at other's research.
Totally unprofessional. Area wasn't jackhammered out, making a clean base, nor was it even tacked by tack oil as a sealant before hot mix was placed into the area. Not to mention no ear protection or placement of cones. But still ten times better than most cities.
Question; what is the time said over the air do? is that so they can log what times every occurs at; for example when the she said “194, I’m code 4” and then Scott said “194 your code 4 at 10:47”.
It was warmer in 1100BC and 1000AD ; and GREENHOUSE GASSES are : 50% Water Vapor (by nature) and 50% CO2 (9/10 from nature , 1/10 from man made) ...the media and govt's con you into believing that this 5% by man is stronger than the other 95% by nature ? And the 95% by nature can vary by alot more than the 5% produced by man. We are being fooled guys.....................Now : 5c is not going to deter anyone who lives in affluent Edina, but will just enrich the large corporate grocers more . What was the vote so we know who to not vote for in the next election? At least the Mayor was against it :) PS : The WARMEST SUMMER in Mpls St Paul MN was 1936 AD !
