Thank you very much! This worked. I used adhesive laminate and it worked OK but is a little fiddly if you get a bubble! Just remember which way the plastic 'contact' its inserted - it fell out and took some trial and error to get it the right way.
Man, I installed this system in a tall closet. Used 16 inch deep shelves. Moved out and got divorced. That $160,000 house now lists for $455,000. I really miss that closet I built! lol Cost around $1,800 in materials.
Question. I have a F150LA yamaha engine. my speedometer was acting up. I did clean out the inlet hole and blew back through the hole, it seems like it should work. How did the speedometer work before if I have not installed the speed sensor? Where does the black nipple go to? It was all zip tied>
hello I carried out exactly the same assembly in the video but nothing is displayed on the speed fuel (yamaha F70 engine). Do you have an idea of the problem?
The problem with spray foam, is that the material is basically a cured polymer that is actually a solid material. That solid material is not meant to dampen sound. The best way to dampen sound, would be to have a rubberized coating on the bottom side of the panel, to subdue some of the reverberation of the metal. Add small air gap to a install a radiant barrier, then a layer of foam or even better some fiberglass insulation of sorts would make a big difference over just a solid layer of poly spray foam.
Daniel,...just found you recently, wish I'd discovered your channel sooner, much appreciate your sharing experiences in this community. I'm working on my 20' v nose cargo at the moment. Mini Split is my direction and plan on installing this inside the trailer, well vented, dedicated box in the interior of the nose of the trailer, I'm curious of some of your thoughts and objections to this if any. I'm trying to head off or address challenges as to keep the trailer as stealth as possible, all things discreet and hidden. Thank you so much for any input, stay well!
@@keithbeasley5862 hey thx for the comment! I like the idea, actually wanting to do the same thing in a Van conversion. Don't see why it wouldn't work. I built a tear drop camper 20 years ago and did this with a window unit, I did have to add a fan inside the AC box to help pull the heat out, it worked excellent. Please let me know how your build progresses.
Thanks!! Great video. The glue on my 20 year old guages was way harder to remove than yours, but I got it done. I did both at the same time and inadvertently switched the LCD's. I didn't know they were specific. Once I switched them back, the tach worked, but the speedo gave an E1 error on startup. I had to replace the LCD and now all good. Still need to work on the crazing but I'm happy. Now that I can see the guages I can see the trim sender needs to be replaced.
FYI - struts should be set to collapse down ward like your 10” struts (the opposite of your 6” struts). This stops the oil from drying out in the struts. :)
I just got 4” action series, do you use the existing transom holes to mount the plate? Did you by chance reach out to Bob’s about a longer relay harness?
@@danielmid6022 Ok right on! I got an east cape fury (similar to a hells bay skiff) I’m assuming that 9’ harness won’t be long enough either…..Thanks for putting out the video. It’s very helpful compared to any modern day instructions!
Instead of using the smaller tank in the front, would you be able to plumb the toilet to use the larger gray tank? Reason i ask is Im building out an almost identical trailer (legend 7x19 FTV). Great work btw.
Hey man love ur videos!! Just wanted to know if it is better to install a sub in a factory stereo or android headunit. Btw I have a mitsubishi pajero with a factory Rockford soundsystem.
I really found this clear, concise and helpful! I need your help with reinstalling my Yam speedo/fuel gauge which is same as yours. Behind the console, I found the corresponding Yellow, Blue and Red wires and connected them. That leaves me with 2 Black and 1 White wires which I cannot identify a match. Are all 3 required? Can you tell me what their function is? You mention that Black is Ground, what about the 2nd Black wire? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the great videos.
Hi, thx for the comment! I'm sorry I just can't remember where each wire hooks up. It's been a while and I no longer have the same motor or gauges. Hope u are able to get it figured out, sorry I'm not more help
Everything works on my Android radio that I just bought except it will not hold the radio station memories and it was full plug-and-play I didn't have to mess with any except for one wire which is the backup camera wire do you have any suggestions what could be happening
Although I have a 12v version I'm using to power RV tank heaters I am using to keep the LiFePO4 batteries warm in the RV, this video was PERFECT for helping me get it wired correctly. Thank you!
