WELCOME! Hi everyone and welcome to my channel, my name is Jacqueline Jax. I created this channel to share my journey of watercolor. My art has been evolving slowly and is typically a very loose style blurring the line between abstract and expressionism. Most of my videos are demos and reviews of things that I'm learning and experiencing on this art journey. I hope you'll come paint with me and get inspired.
I'm also on Instagram instagram.com/jacquelinejaxartist
I was just looking at White Night paints on Amazon. I did see one review where it said they were hard to work with and want to become muddy when mixing. But watching you review it looks like it paired pretty smoothly. I really enjoyed your review
They can be muddy on some colors and some colors just don't work out well at all so the line isn't consistent but I like their carmine and a few others colors especially the granulating mixes. Those are worth getting.
They were out of potters pink when i ordered my most recent haul, next time next time. Enjoyed your video. Subscribed. If you like photography pop over to mine. Cheers
How did you organize and place them? I’m stuck ordered 8 more colors and I’ve never ever been so perplexed on how to lay them out? Any ideas? Please advise?
About your Roman Szmal palette - the metal on these palette is easily bended. If it sticks up you just bend the hinges down gently. It’s like the hinges inside that holds the pans.
@JacquelineJax Hi Jaque, How do we sign up for your honey pot subscription. I only see the monthly watercolor month for 56 and the calendar advent one for 75. I do not see the 65 for the watercolor subscription with honey pots. Also when is the last day we can sign up for it this month? Thanks Maria
I have to add it for you as it's not available to everyone. Just my monthly subscribers. So we add it onto a current regular subscription. Just email me. A honey pot subscription I can add today for the September delivery. The regular subscription signups take 30-45 days to make them. Send me a request here: jaxwatercolor.com/pages/contact
Thank you for your honest review. I need to listen to this again and take notes of your favorites from other companies. I wanted to try Michael Harding watercolors and found this very informative . I did order three colors last night (on sale at Jackson's) but they weren't in your swatch review.
I love Roman Szmal as well although it is expensive to export to the US and takes a long time. I'm intrigued by the wood box with the mixing palette insert and am waiting for it to go on sale at Jackson's. What are the measurements of the box and can you remove the base tray the whole pans set into? I'm wondering if I can reconfigure the pans. Thanks for your review!
Thank you,. I really thought about this subscription alot because so many of you haven't done animals and it's overwhelming. I tried to come up with several ways to do it.
Great review, I just picked up this Maimeri set and love it! I know this is an older video so for what it’s worth, I picked up the M. Graham Quin set a few years ago and the Nickel Quin Gold and Quin Rose are my favorites of ANY professional brand. HTH!
Your video is for people who can’t read what IK already tells you on their website. A review tries out all the features and explains how well they work.
I prefer my St. Petersburg paints, tbh. Those have been around for much longer and their Sonnet student grade paints are much better than Rosa studio paints (which are btw the ones ur using in this vid, which are not the artist grade). Btw, if people stop buying St. Petersburg to not support Russia, then why do they still buy chinese brands like Paul Rubens? Oh, those sweet double standards.
This is a great review of the Beam paints! I am hoping to visit them on Manitoulin Island this summer and buy some of the paint. I also love how you did the swatches on a drawing in your sketchbook. I might steal this idea 🙂.
Wow beautiful colors Jackie!! I’m listening/ watching while I’m prepping to paint 😂 Love your voice ❤️❤️😍🙌🥰 Could listen to you everyday 🥹 Love your cobalt blue and the greens and yellows you created 💙💙🙌😍
