Ruminants got way more mass and greater in number with much less value in waste for feeding. Perhaps it was to kept their population under control within their territory due to safety concerns of their tribe. For feeding benefit in on itself, it doesn't make much sense to go after a more precious and yet more challenging prey with less reward at stake over the other way around.

Ive been into bows and bow hunting since i was a kid and still love it.. had an itch to take up traditional archery for a long time now so i finally acquired my first bear recurve.. a beautiful gem 1970 kodiak hunter 60 inch bow 53# ..i took right up to it and now im hooked on it like i knew i would be ..gonna practice hard this year and try taking my first traditional archery buck !!! Fred bear is a legend and he inspired me to pick up a recurve ..when i got one it HAD TO be a BEAR
As with George Carlin, I wish I could have met Capstick in person before he died. Didn't know of Capstick until a few years after his death. I found one of his books in the pile in my Senior year high school english class, I begged my teacher to let me keep the book as I loved it so much (Death in the Dark Continent). Glad they gave it to me, as it is a cherished part of my collection to this day. As with Carlin, I could have seen him in Vegas once back in '04? but was broke as a joke. Then he passed on while I was in Iraq on my second deployment. Sigh....
