This is my go to for rice and chicken. I made it 4 years ago and have been hooked ever since. I can't eat cilantro, so that's out, but I use everything else. If Mama is no longer with us, i hope she had a chance to see these beautiful words from all of you! Reminds me of simpler times....
👌 The concept was beautiful and grandmom🥰😇 but everyone needs to be real...The rice wasn't washed,she did not use sazon by goya,no achiote seeds for the oil,The sofrito game was off base,& the Was mushy🤢🤮
Theway I make my arroz con pollo is different.I cook all the I make th sofrito with all the ingridients as you did.The I added the uncook chic to the pot.some water until the chic is guisado.Stewed.Then I take all the cook delicious chic.out and cover.Then I add the rice.When the rice is completly done. I make a whole in the pot and add the no chic.This way I cook a large amount of rice without the chic in the pot taking all that space.The chic looks better.Every person cooks different.For a large crowd I do it like that. So why am i just now finding Ms. Mama's recipe!!!!! Love her energy she reminds me so much of my gram gram!!!! My grams stopped cooking at 70, believe me no disrespect to my mom but i went str8 to gram with a notebook and pen like recipes please ma'am ❤❤❤❤ they got the secrets to lip smackin comfort food!!!!!
