i love this trilogy of games, there is something about the music on the Dune Sea, and Land of Sand people that just whisks me away to that galaxy far away. The saber was not great in this first one.
@BenRai2k one of my favorites! They really capture star wars. 90s Star Wars games were great for that. They made up for it with the plasma gun. I did empire last week and am currently playing through jedi again.
@Tarboy they are taking trade ins and have some legit cartridges. I mean you can always check. My sales guy said it was OK and the super star wars empire strikes back is legit
@@thoreffectmedia Yeah, that is correct but what about a person who has no idea about legitimacy of the cartridges? That's when things fall into lumber. Because this retro movement was supposed to be thing where it shed light for newer players as well. Newer gamers cannot play these games with fake replicas, that'd be wrong!

Very surprised I enjoyed this as much as I did. Good original storyline, great character development, decent build up. Really creepy seeing Cooper go from your average loving suburban father to maniacal psychopath. Riley had quite the whirlwind of a day by the end of the movie, lol. Also wonderful to see Hayley Mills on screen again! She starred in a bunch of old school Disney films like The Parent Trap that I remember watching when I was a kid. She's always been a class act!
@jezebelinhell33 josh Hartnett was great. I think the movie was best when they were at the concert. The movie went a bit long and could have had 15 minutes cut off. Overall, it's really good. The end just wasn't as strong as the first half.

It certainly had a great creep factor to it! I enjoyed it even though I knew the connection pretty early on. Still a good twist at the end though! Totally worth checking out.
This was a fun ride. My only criticism would be that certain points in the movie felt a little long winded, like the beginning sequence when she was young, but it was still engaging. And I could be biased considering I had just watched Fury Road which was 2 hours of non-stop action.
A bit off topic, but I loved that you brought up Newgrounds...now that is Old School. My friends and I spent many Friday nights being entertained by the content on there. That was long before RU-vid was even a thing.
This movie was so BLOODY FUN! The actress of Abigail was insanely good and the movie was so funny. I has an absolute blast with it and cannot wait to watch it again. Going to be apart of my halloween viewing for years to come for sure. Great review, man! Keep making videos

Willys wonderland SUKZ because of Nicolas cage didn't fit in my opinion Reason of disliking the movie in other film cage was in of American WWII naval cruiser USS Indianapolis men of courage you might have heard jaws Quints shark attack story The film uss indianapolis men of courage is poorly made bad film because of inaccuracies. Cage played as naval captain of uss indianapolis which he didn't really fit well as naval officer when he was casted. Blumhouse FNAF movie made more box office money and did better
Willys wonderland is a so bad it's good kind of movie. Of course, the fnaf movie did better. It's a well established franchise. Compare it to something like godzilla x kong which is around double fnaf. Let's not pretend fnaf was a great movie. It's a pg 13 horror movie that isn't remotely scary. It was a mess of a film and only made sense to fnaf fans.
Love the writing and delivery> Only thing I could suggest is: 1.Tweak the lighting. 2.A camera that faces from the side with your cool Gundam collection 3.Pop filter for Microphone. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the recommendations. I actually have a much better camera and place to record. It's just under construction at the moment. Hopefully, I will get the new set done in the next few months. Also, thanks for thinking I write ahead 😂. I use to do stand up in another life and just wing it.
Great chat. Personally I loved the atmosphere and environmental/creature art of Short Message but man, I’m so sick of every Silent Hill since 4 copying 2’s concept, and Short Message sorta falls into that category in my opinion, complete with another kinda Pyramid Head stand-in. I feel that the contrast between 2 and 4 really showed that Silent Hill as a setting can serve cool, extremely unique anthology-style stories but man I’m so sick of protagonists having to confront their inner demonz after doing something they feel guilty about and immediately forgetting. Legitimately of the original 4, only 2 is about this
I would love to see something more original. I think that's why everyone was so excited for PT. Kojima was going to ignore everything else. I do like that they are going to let some teams take their shots. Sure, we might get some ascension, but we might get something really good. Would love to see Super massive make one.
@TrollZyGV I remember that. Team silent was mostly a rotating staff if I remember correctly. The big names were generally involved. Pretty sure they split and worked on 3 and the room at the same time. The room was supposed to be a stand-alone.
@heralduk5839 I think many people kind of like the twist at the end of 2. 4 was a fun departure. It wasn't originally a silent hill game, and that benefited it. Its unfortunate that they had other developers make the rest of the silent hill games and not build off of the first 4.
Exactly. It was free and an interesting experience. I thought the sound design and monster were great. I think with a full game, they could expand from this and make something good!
This idea that silent hill doesn't need good gameplay is ridiculous. It's 2024 and resident evil exists. There are indie games that have better atmo than silent hill and it doesn't play like shit. Bloober is probably not even trying with the combat because people are already making excuses
They should definitely look at the resident evil 2 remake. That was a last gen game and looks way better. The animations don't look good. Bloober isn't exactly known for making great mechanics. Look at the Dead space remake last year. That was pretty good. I think it should of been handled by a studio that's good at remakes such as blue point.
I kinda like the idea that James fights wonky because he's not a fighter. He's not Leon who fights for a job but a dude who's going through bad emotions
@idavisband that was the idea with the first few games. I think most people have issues with some of the animations. Like when you stomp a monster it doesn't even move. Bloober generally only does first person so that's got me a bit worried. I'm hoping it's good. Just wish it was blue point or someone of that caliber.
Good video man! I thought silent hill the short message was a decent attempt to get back into the horror genre. The developers said it was more like a test demo since they havent made a horror game since silent hill 4. I thought the themes were good and atmosphere was good along eith the graphics. My only criticism was the fact that the story was so in your face and not subtle. The old silent hills were the best at environmental storytelling and subtle metaphors amd i hope future games recapture that. I really hope people arent too harsh and give the franchise time to grow back into what it was

I think it had more to it, but it probably became too big for what they wanted to do. I can't wait to see what they come up with a full game.
For free and a demo it was fine. Nothing will do pt again. It's not as bad as ascension. There was some great things like the music, monster, and sound design. I want to see what they do with a full game.
The writing and storytelling were abysmal. The story could have worked if it were in the style of David Lynch- symbolic, mysterious, abstract. Instead we get the absolute most moronic version of it, PSAs and all.

There is also something to be said about a fan base that is constantly ready to jump on the negative. I say that because I am one of those people. No shade; im the same way. But I think it’s time we start trying to show a little more optimism and encouragement. We also need to stop bringing PT into the mix. Silent Hill is complicated. It’s gonna take time to capture that feel and get back in the groove. They will fail along the way. But I respect them dusting themselves off and trying something. The Short Message was flawed but it had serious potential. And that was the whole point of the game. It was like an exercise for the developers.

I don't know.I don't think the Silent Hill franchise has been too milked. I don't think some of the newer games are that great though. Look at Resident Evil. Resident Evil 1 has 27 ports, remasters and remakes spread across every system. That franchise has been milked to death with ports upon remasters upon remakes upon spin offs to the point where the developers even said they don't care about having a consistent story. That's a franchise that has been milked to death. Also I like the way Konami is handling Silent Hill. Give the license to any developer who wants it and let them have complete creative control of it. There might be 5 shitty SH games but that one really great one will be made under the same artistic lens as the Team Silent games.
