Thank you for making these videos ! I’ve recently had my front right tooth pulled out due to a root canal years ago… it weakened and crack a couple of weeks ago. I was terrified when I heard it had to be extracted. I now have a flipper/single tooth denture, it’s only been a few days but i stumbled across your page and it’s made me feel so much better, thank you !
You literally made me feel so much better! Im about to get this and probably more in the future. I’m only 35 and feel like it’s an end of the world! I am finally single and feel like I’m in my prime .. and now this! Thank you so much for being brave enough to do this! I hope mine looks as good as yours!
I wish I would have seen your videos before I went to the dentist office. I just got a partial with 1 tooth and was told I had to take it out at night and put it in the morning. I called today and was told that I had to take it out every time I had something to eat. They neglected to mention that to me when they told me about this procedure. It is painful and the tooth keeps moving around. The only difference between your partial and mine is that I have clips that attach to my teeth. I have a fake uncomfortable roof. My tooth also moves and I am wondering if I should try some type of adhesive to hold it in more securely.
They look mad good on you tho!!! Thanks for review! I came here as i am waiting for mine to be delivered and seeing your review makes them seem promising!!!
I have had no front tooth for a while. My dentist gave me a flapper. I had the same experience as you… It was hard to talk. I went to the next dentist and she started me on Invisalign so that the fake tooth could be smaller. Then she had suggested for me to put in a Marilyn bridge. That didn’t take, because the adhesive that she put it in with was not strong enough. But they have me with a single tooth in my Invisalign. Also, the same as you, my artificial tooth was a bit shorter than my real teeth… I am not happy with the process. I am unable to get a dental implant because I have no bone where I lost my tooth. So now I’m kind of in a dilemma.
USA here :) - Im sorry this has happened to you especially being so young and pretty....anyway, im 60, had perfect teeth and decided to whiten my teeth with "Crest white strips" which work great! provided your not an idiot like melol and fall asleep with the strips in which if i remember right 20 minutes max (not 8 hrs,ugh)....now, for some reason the top strip stayed in place all night but the bottom slid down on to my gums so with the acid thats in the strip it ate my gum line very low and the pain was OMG! (had to take 3 days off from work) end scenario was i lost 2 teeth and like you could not afford capping......i ended up getting an "Essex plastic retainer" with teeth added and trust me i know all to well about the couldnt talk thinglmao (funny thinking back) but like you of course that cleared up...ok,anyway, i really suggest from my research to NOT! sleep with it in due to bacteria forming underneath it all night long! < take the advice or lose it :) and the best of luck, you'll get 100% used to it, hugs and very best of luck - Kevin :)

🌸Hi Debbie, I want to thank you 🙏 for sharing this video📱, as you can see it means alot to so many people of all ages❣ My story 📖......, I was, am and will be in a similar situation as you❣ I am 47 years old and my two front teeth are always an issue❣ At the age of 11, I was accidentally pushed and fell on my front teeth, the pain 💥 and confusion was 🤯 immense❣ Since then, I had caps put on and taken off over the years❣ Now at my current age, my original pieces of teeth, can't be used anymore❣ Inplants will cost me £7000 💷, so for now I have to go for my partial front teeth dentures❣ Next week Tuesday they will be finally removed❣ I am not looking 😣 forward to that❣ It is the speech 🗣part and how effective it stays in your mouth, that I have to get used to❣ At least when I take my dentures out at night 🌙, I will be ready for Halloween 👻 in October❣ Jokes aside, it is not easy living without your front teeth, but as you said, hopefully people realise 💡 that many people out there have lost teeth for all different reasons and it should not be frowned upon❣ I know of the humiliation and the not smiling that really can make life even harder to live, but knowing that there are so many people out there, that are going through the same things, makes life a bit more bearable❣ Stay safe and strong ...... 💌
Im booked in for this procedure in November due to a long NHS waiting list (also in Scotland). Not feeling very excited about a single front tooth denture at 31. Not sure if I even want to go ahead with it but I’m just following my dentists advice. You have made me feel slightly better about it. Thanks for making this video 😊
Dentists can do so much these days to make your teeth look like ur own! Im so used to mine now and if i didnt tell anyone nobody would know. I hated my teeth but now i am able to smile without feeling embarrassed! Hope it goes well for u
@@DebbieEmslie Thanks Debbie you are so brave especially as a woman I imagine it might be harder to open up about these things. I am now looking forward to getting my denture, even if it takes a few nights to get used to 😃
I think it would feel like a retainer 👍🏻I also knocked out half of my front tooth when I was 9 🤭flip over my handle bars on my bike …I sure the discolored Color teeth can be fixed with bleach & ultraviolet light. But you CANT tell by looking at you anyway your teeth look fine NOT PERFECT BUT then Who has perfect teeth anyways ….your beautiful 👍🏻
I would probably would rather have that than the one i have. Mine has the wire on the ends to hold them in place. Its uncomfortable and seems to be hard to get out
Debbie your teeth look fantastic, I hope you never consider implants. I got my 1rst partial denture just after covid. I could afford implants but I think surgery is best avoided. having a dentist drilling into my bones No Thanks. The main issue with dentures is they are unfashionable something our grandparents had.
this is going to be me soon. I hit my front tooth in a accident years ago and now it has a cyst and needs to be removed. my canine is impacted never came down so going to add that in the denture as well. its going to be a pretty big partial. Im worried I wont get used to it. did you ever get used to it now?
Hi I'm really new to wearing a flipper tooth denture for my front tooth and i am getting more used to it but im scared to bite with it incase it breaks, do you have any advice, it is acrylic
Debbie I’ve had a single front tooth plate fitted today. How do I take it out and put it back in again? My dentist said I should hear a click when it goes back in but I don’t hear it and I found it tricky getting it out. Is there a technique you could share? Thanks for you vids. I’m distraught as I’m young like you. Thanks for your channel ❤️
Do you grab it from the back then pull outwards or should I be grabbing the front tooth first then the back? I was grabbing the pallets from the back first but found it cumbersome and there’s like a vacuum effect when I’m trying to pull it out. Maybe it’s just a case of discovering which technique works best for me but I’m worried about damaging the gum and preventing it from healing quickly. You made it look so though. Did you struggle at first? You’re looking great with the new plate btw. They look lovely, white straight and natural ❤️ There’s loads of vids from ppl removing a full set but not much for a one tooth denture 😭
@@michellemac6150 So i grab it from the front! Its maybe trying to find the right way for your one. I used to push mine with my tongue and it would come loose! I did struggle at first but eventually got the hang of it! x
