Hi mate I have T32 9 seater 2018. Rear side air conditioner blowing hot air but from front proper cooling. Can you advise please what to look at thanks
Did you sort this ? I’ve got hot air up the front on the dab but cold at the rear of the of the car. Only one water pipe is warm that feeds the rear hvac so trying to figure out if I have a auxillary water pump issue or blockage in the rear hvac matrix ?
Thanks mate! I'm trying to figure out how can I install AC in the back of the van (mine has only heater). Very useful your video, looks like I can do with minor investments (handwork does not count, I'll pay myself in cold beer) 🙂
Brilliant video! Used this to remove the unit from my 2007 T5 shuttle. Do you know how much gas they had to put back in once the unit was removed? Usually its about 900grams or so i think
i managed to undo the T40 spline bolts and loosen both 10mm retaining nuts without fully removing the crinkly panel and moving the silencer...it was very hard, but not impossible
Hi - currently trying to do this right now (avoiding removing the heat shield and dropping exhaust) - any tips? Was it a case of reaching in to find the nuts?
Nice one Chris... I'm just about to take mine out... I'm staggered that with all that pipework you removed that I don't have any leaks on my 18 year old T5. I had issues with my aircon pump a few years ago and they offered to remove the divert junction for the rear hvac... I said nahhh, I'm alright.... Kicking myself now😂
Mate you are a godsend. Saved so much time and heartache sussing it all out. Gift to T6 owners as well as T5 as tank fits both. Many thanks for posting.
Thanks for making this video. Great to see an informative video just discussing the installation options and things to consider. Really appreciate it mate 🙏
Hello, my van has this webasto system but I don't know how it works. There are no controls inside the car. I turned my t5 into a campervan and I would like to know if I can use some control to make it warm during the night with this system?
How easy is it to blank the pipes off as the system is leaking gas through the rear where the HVAC was disconnected even when the black shut off halves are closed - thx for your help in advance
Great video thanks. Im hoping T6 is the same. No issues with wiring simply unplugged? It doesnt need coding or create faults with front heater operation etc?
Great video this just got me out of a right hole where the tyre had rubbed through the pipes in the arch showed the aa guy this video and got me back on the road by looping out the coolant pipes until I can fix the hoses at the back and raise the van up a bit
Glad that it was useful to you. If you have a water leak at the back, the "loop it at the coolant heater" is far and away the best way to isolate the rear unit. Glad you got rolling again
Hello. How did that double layer of gel padding work out? Great? So so? Maybe too much gel pad? Let us know, please. I'm curious if too much is bad? Or did it really "save your ass?"
Just found this video. and ive noticed you have made 17 parts to this build so far. So im looking forward to watch them all. :) So far i enjoy what you have planned and are doing.
Thats amazing dancing robot! Hello, I am a researcher at WooGlobe. We work with TV and digital production companies and would like to license this video and have a good offer for this video. Please email me at viral@wooglobe.com, Thanks!
NICE!!! You have a picture of my lifted Riviera and Prerunner truck at the end (20:43). I'll be there this year. If you see ether of those two rides, Hit me up for that beer LOL.
Thank you a lot for a very informative video! I'm planning to go there for my first time this year, from Norway and this video was really helpful. I'll gladly share a beer with you if I see you there!
I just got a mig welder and use flux core wire so no need for gas at all, I think it would work on yours too. I have an old Kaw 1985 eliminator 1,000cc just setting not running and your video is just enough inspiratation to get me out in the cold garage and star putting it back together as a proper Rat survival bike. Thanks for the kick in the pants.
Hi Bob. I used to have a gasless mig. I was quite happy with it and never running out of gas is a great plus. All the pro welders slag gasless off but to be honest my welding skills aren't good enough to tell the difference. Its now a few years later and I was given the gas mig which I use now. Free is free! It allows me to spend more on bike bits
Its great to see someone engineering bikes on their own, Id like to see more as you continue to individualize it to fit your vision. I am a rat bike fan and have a rat Moto Guzzi in progress. I made a video on it along with my Sporty ( 74 cubic inch ) I just picked up. What country are you in?
Hi Bob. This is the only creative thing I do. I' not musical, nor artistic, nor a photographer. But I've loved post apocalyptic bikes for 30 years since seeing the 2nd Mad Max movie. This is the third bike I've built. I'm in Scotland, UK.
mordicai rigby Welcome....I'm not going to actively promote these videos until I have made significant progress, so there won't be much movement here. I have finished fitting the fuel tank this week. But I have loads of jobs to do on my house so the bike won't see progress for a few weeks.
