Just throwing this out there-- the tribe threw a net that spanned the entire river, at the confluence, from 8pm yesterday to 5am today. That certainly effected the fishing today.
@@samsmith7150 haven’t used one yet, problem I have is that I can’t decide I want one, and get one before the season is over. I don’t plan well that far in advance. Haha it’s mostly a me problem
Don’t net from behind the boat,keep good tension on the fish and circle the fish ,it will run to the front of the boat and you can scoop from behind the fish.He barely knows he’s hooked sometimes

We were there last Monday, 3 bites and lost 1 at boat and one took my entire setup.. gotta check those knots!! All on super bait. My buddy ended up catching on spinners.. I am going back down and adding spinners to the circuit. What about spinner colors, leader length etc? Btw my bites were on shortbus flashers, rotten banana and mountain dew - 30 inch leader. Definitely a grind. Thanks for sharing.
Fished 10 hrs yesterday (8/31), a couple bites hover fishing, nothing trolling. Tried spinners, superbaits, about everything in my box. Did see 4 or 5 fish landed by other boats, which is better than last week, but still pretty sad given the number of boats.
@@jasonhurdlow6607 what was your leader length? We're you running cannonball weights and working the bottom 5 feet of water? Also it might be just me the best chance for a bite is between 6:30-10 and then it seems like lockjaw time. Also running up the center channel that everyone trolls seems a higher chance for a bite. I am going back this weekend and we shall see how it goes.
Just like your videos of you fishing the clearwater, you never show technique, bait, or actual fish you catch. That is what people who want to learn need.... Show us the FISH!

My wife had those first 3 fish before she even got the rod in the holder.That was 13 or 14 fish and a load of crabs in about 3 hours and she caught about 10 of them.Back before they closed that Young's Bay bubble I had a spot I hooked 11 fish on 12 passes.First week in August with my own rod out.
Best day ever?My wife smashed 5 big kings in row before could even get my line out.She put two 25lb hens in the box the caught 3 more kings and a 9lb silver.I finally stopped baiting her hook then I caught 3 kings.Nonstop all in about 2 hours.Too early in the day so we went down to Nehalem to throw the crab pots in still needing another silver we caught 4 more kings on 4 passes.
