I stopped watching any car race 30 years ago, after Imola. Two weeks ago, when I was "visiting" the Circuit of Spa in a Thursday, I've noticed a team, Iron Dames. Came back on Sunday to watch a race and I saw Marta on track and became her fan. Now I'm whatching races again, following pilots, teams, websites and so on.
Fastest over a lap is extremely far from best driver FWIW. I agree you can’t go purely by results, but with a guy like Schumacher, I think the results reflect the total package. Then there’s a guy like Hamilton. Unquestionably a great driver, but seven WDCs on teams that scored the most points nine times.
Massa needs to get over himself. He never was and never will be a champion. Crybaby cos he cant get a championship someone else won.. type of fucker who would steal your football in the playground then run to the headmaster when you take it back..
Kimi Raikkonen 2003-2005 was so insanely fast driver, it's not even real. I have watched some laps from that era and that is not human. Too bad McLaren reliability was trash, he'd have 3 titles. He was never, ever again the same driver at Ferrari.
To be honest he said a whole lot of nothing, gave some very scripted answers but shouldn't expect anything less from a corporate head such as him. But cool that he played cricket professionally.
This is a very light hearted take on F1 which I dont mind but for me there is no indepth knowledge. For example confusing points down to 12 affecting the construvtures championship is only valid to decide the position of the bottom three teams .Also saying the prize money means that the top teams will have a competitive adavantage as you can spend it on more infrastructure. There is a cost cap and even Haas spends almost at the level of the cost cap. If your a top team and win a large payout it just makes the team make a bigger profit . It cant be spent on developing the car more. The change of the regs was to make it easier to pass and not to force cars to be the same competitively although as time goes bye that happens naturally. The real reason why you have dominating car and driver combinations now is because of car reliability. Twenty years ago top cars often didnt finish a race and so many more people won races. Indycar is suposed to be better racing but the same three teams always win and one of those teams has been cought cheating.
It’s rare when you find someone who has achieved success, but still wanna see change in the world and be that change, one of the many reasons lewis deserves respect , amazing job , hope one day i’ll take part in smtg as meaningful and precious.
