may I know does it overheat with a warm room temperature using all 4 decks and all the effects, stems, pitch and time. How much does it consume RAM out of the 16GB available. im planning to buy a base model air M2
same cuz In my place the hot environment is the main concern plus the real time stems analysis, 4 decks and pitch and time Im concerned if the Macbook Air will thermal throttle.
I very much appreciate and enjoyed your update about the speakers. Please, don't stop, you are soooo knowable and explain in detail that it should be your second Job !
Good information 💯Just got the M2 Air for my Numark Scratch setup up it is flawless. I'm happy with what I am able to do. I have the 8GB model but my music is on a 3 TB external so I'm good with that.
I was concerned about that too but up to this point I have had no problems with overheating. Keep on mind that I have used this in broad daylight in direct sunlight. Cheers
What up Lee. Solid Video. I noticed you weren't connected to an external for your music. Where/ how do you store your music files? Just got a 2023 M2 mac air. Trying to transfer over music. Need you man! Thanks in advance
Hey! GJerrus, I keep all my music internally. The hard drive on this one is 1TB. I synchronize the music files to the other Mac as well as my pc. It is not necessary to carry around an external Hardrive.
@@djhd3000 Fasho.. appreciate you. Ive worked it out since then. Found out the problem after unboxing. My MacBook Air was only 256! Had to repackage that bad boy up, and send it back same day. End up getting a M2 MacBook Pro. So far so good. Thanks for the reply. Keep doing your thing man!
I just bought a mint condition SZ2 and the build quality is way better than any controller pioneer has made after it these past 6 years. I prefer SZ2 over any pioneer controller currently. The only controller worth getting today is the Rev-7 which I own as well and use. But pioneer doesn’t have the same quality professional build with all their new products being pushed out now, the items all feel cheap and plastic. SZ2 was built to last literally
I pick up a rev 1 for 170 and a ns4fx for 280 on black friday from ebay . For a grand total 450 bucks . Which smokes a a rane 4 or pioneer flx10. Cause now you get controll of all four decks and crossfader . The crossfader assignment on the ns4fx is key for doing this. Also you get all the effect from both controllers. You can get really ceeative with your dj set up.
You should get a numark platinum fx two channel with the digital display and run it with this 4 channel . Why? You get all four decks with dedicated effect and pitch control. And also you can run two different controllers for one deck . Why ? You get all 32 pads. Go get another one ( two or 4 channel ) and run them together .
Your pants arent moving at that distance. You cant feel em at that distance either. But they will sound good. For DJs, you dont want to hit those boxes with anything more than 1600 watts, bands 2100 watts. Crown a good amp, dont get anything less than the 6002, and run it 4 ohm per channel (one channel per box). On slightly larger shows, two boxes per channel sounds good... but not the 2002 or 4002, not even close to the same amp inside. Dont believe me? Open em up and look. Hands down, those are good subs... but dont over state their ability. We use four for crowds of 500 to 700 people, indoors... anything more than that they arent enough. Two of those outdoors and your gig is left wanting. Nice gear though!
I am right now between DBR12 - ZLX12 - Eon712, I want them for outdoor party. which one in your opinion has a fuller bass and is better overall? I want to add some sub in the future
Good review! I will be getting a M1 Pro laptop in the near future but I can not decide if I want the 14” or the 16” pro’s I literally spent an hour yesterday in Best Buy touching and looking at both laptops I love the 14” for it’s lightness and portability but I also love the screen real estate on the 16” but dont really like how big it is and feel it may have me feeling like I have a big tank when pulling it out my bag to dj with or just sitting it on a table 😂 only reason why I’m leaning towards 14” is because it’s cheaper at $1500 vs $2000+ I literally brought a 2015 13” i7 MacBook Pro retina the other day damn near brand new with new battery & 1TB ssd to see how it would handle the latest version of serato pro with stems on Monterey and it works pretty good struggles a little using stems I get that red dot in the right corner at times on stems song load but if I run it with out using stems at all it works good for the most part so I’m definitely going to have to buy an M1 just to handle stems and the new serato pro but I’m not in no rush my 2012 13” pro is still my work horse I never have to question that computer with the older version of serato pro it just works!
The only advantage that the 16" has over the 14" M1 MBP is the screen size, extra ports, and SSD slot (which I use). The portability of the 14" is undeniable. I would suggest that you take your time and determine which aspect is most important but you can't go wrong with either one.
Merci Beaucoup mon ami. J'est repondre en anglais... I have both the DBR12 and DBR15. The DBR15 is loud but the bass lacks a punch. I just bought two RCF 15" tops to replace them. But the DBR12 is a phenomenal 12" speaker that is also loud and can go head to head against most other 12" tops. It is very versatile. If you need more bass just add a subwoofer.
6 years later I still feel the SZ2 checks all the boxes for me, every other controller looks like a toy next to it, it’s well built and definitely fells and looks like pro gear.
