if cummins didn't have a exclusive contract with dodge for certain class trucks, chevy 3500HD's with a cummins and the allison behind it would be a killer combo and the 2500hd with the dmax 6.6
The dodge hitch was higher than the gm which made more traction for it and less for the gm.. the back of the dodge was puuled down while the back of the gm was puuled up shifting the advantage the the one with more weight pushing down on the rear tires..
Damn bro as a dude who loves the lmm and lml duramax that second gen is deadly don’t get me wrong I love Dodge too got a 2nd gen but it’s a gasser, to be that old and still pulling around a diesel dually truck with years ahead of technological advancements in the lmm/lml compared to the second gen is still unbelievable to say that the 5.9 cummins was way ahead of its time
It is always an easy guess who will win these things. Its always the truck that set higher. The higher truck actually lifts the lower setting truck off the ground has it pulls.
Ima cummins guy but that was actually a really dumb pull the Chevy loss traction the dodge didn’t spin at all, guess there’s an advantage to being a slow cummins after all
It depends on weight and tire pressure and tread on the tires as much as hp and toque.both trucks sound strong. My son has two Dodge Cummins , I drove them many times very good trucks. . I have a Duramax LB7 in a 2500HD and I got a 8.1 vortex gas in a Chevy 3500.
They never make these tug of wars fair, from an unbiased point there are so many factors you need to take into consideration to make this a feasible competition.
Why in the hell would you neuter your trucks muddin performance by putting those stupid thin ass wheels on the back? I'm pretty sure when you go on muddin you want more even weight distribution not less XD
