Capturing the novelties from the age of VCR and recorded television.
Everything on here has been hand-ripped from VHS/Beta by me and everything on here is from the United States unless otherwise stated.
I am using a Sharp VC-A552U VHS player, a Sears Betavision (Model 5309) VCR, VIDBOX analog-to-digital conversion software, VLC media player to isolate audio and Audacity to clean up/enhance audio when necessary.
If that woman who was in that IBM commercial seen what kind of technology we have now, case in point, "Hey Google" or "Hey Siri", she would of have wet herself 🤣😂

@thesabletv These commercials aired KABC-TV Channel 7 Los Angeles in 1986 brings back memories of my adolescence. I would like to know if you have any more video clips of commercials aired on KABC-TV Channel 7 in Los Angeles(mid- late 70s, Early 80s) and if so, could you please upload them.

Wow I think I took a photo of a value village and posted it on social media or saved in the cloud at some point in my life i dont know where the pics are now but a Value Village Halloween TV commercial is a great idea they should make a new one
I grew up in San Jose in the 80s, and funny enough, we were watching KOFY on a portable tv while camped out in the Fremont commercial office lot where James Cameron was filming T2’s infamous Cyberdyne shootout. We had cable, but we still found ourselves tuning in to KOFY so frequently.
Ayo this is awesome. I hope you're able to find more of KTBY. A nice time capsule. I'm also trying to find if there was any commercials/visual evidence for Space Station (An arcade) or Hawaiian Brians. Either way good job archiving, never new Gotcha existed
I just checked the notes I keep on tape contents for anything Space Station or Hawaiian Brian's, thinking I wasn't going to find anything but it was still worth a shot. I found a note for a commercial labeled "Tour of Mars (Space Station)"! I remember the ad being mostly 3D animation of the surface of Mars. I had no idea what it was trying to advertise, but if it was a VR space exploration game at an arcade, that makes sense! I'll try to upload it tonight.
