Hey, I'm Brady, welcome to my channel! I’m a pilot and really enjoy flight simulating on DCS World and Microsoft Flight Simulator. On this channel you'll find anything from WW2 dogfighting to flying in real life. As a life-long gamer, I may throw in some other games as certain titles catch my interest. Have a look around and explore some playlists.

My first solo was 40 years ago a month after getting my driver's licenses. It was in N4721B. I had about 11 hours and a lot of touch and goes. We had did three touch and goes and my instructor asked me if I was ready. He got out at the end of the runway and I took off. I did three touch and goes. It cost $35 and hour and somewhere life got in the way and I never finished. I am in the process at 56 with diabetes to get my PPL. I can't believe how much it cost but then it is 40 years later.
Late to the game here. Got my PPL maybe about 15 years ago but stopped flying due to life, expenses etc. forgot a lot. BUT when I was taught how to fly - we did not use GPS. Had to use VOR ded- reckoning and paper charts. If there was a tech failure you need to know how to figure out where you are without GPS- at the time it was taken positions of VOR radials. Not sure if that’s still taught
You begin with the basket on the side, you use a fan to blow up the baloon than once there enough air, turn on the gas and begin warming up the air inside

Fantastic! How did you get the replay footage from DCS? Whenever I go into replays with DCS, it hangs or acts wonky. Also, this video is fantastic and what I wish I could make with my own stuff.
Hey thanks so much. Glad you are enjoying the channel! I just love making these for myself and it’s really nice to hear from those who share the same passion for this kind of flying. The DCS replays are really hit or miss, especially with the recent issues with the WWII stuff that Eagle Dynamics is trying to solve. Not all replays are going to work, and some may even have de-sync issues where you have a wheel down that wasn’t actually there or a canopy open that wasn’t actually open when flying. Things like that. Just try to keep your sorties shorter and “leave server” properly. Then open them up in the mission editor and turn external views on for “all” then resave the track and see if it works. There’s a lot to it. Email me at theskyelounge@gmail.com if you want more help and to learn more. Bottom line is the replay feature is not perfect right now, and some of mine don’t work, and some do.
It’s true. I’ve had a few people mention that. Amazing what you can be taught in school. When one I have the money to buy a Cessna 170B I won’t leave the control lock out : )
Thanks for this vid it has some really good shots especially the one in that forest omg really nice shots. Looks like you had super fun. Come back and visit again.
Man this brings back memories. This is where it all started. It's like yesterday when I sat beside my flight instructor and flew for the first time. 2 years later I'm now flying an A320!
I would in real life never get into anything that shoots fire into flammable materials at altitude so this sim balloon is cool. And shooting fireworks from a balloon... What could go wrong? haha
With all of the amazing technology we have now for weather, you would be surprised how safe ballooning is. Just think: someone crossed the Atlantic in one lol. They took off in Maine and landed in Paris. 137 hours …
@@BradySkye The Double Eagle 2 went all the way around the world when I was a kid. Check that out. Edit - oh that was the Breitling Orbiter 3 and I wasn't a kid. DE2 only went over the Atlantic, that's right...
@ 7:09 One thing I learned transitioning from one single-engine type to another (PA-22 to PA-18) was keeping it level with the horizon by looking over the nose wasn't the most reliable way of telling your pitch angle because it's a different view for every aircraft type. Better idea - especially in a high-wing - can be to look out at either wing and see if the bottom surface and the horizon are parallel, then adjust power setting and trim as needed to correct. Over-the-nose view once this is done can be a second check for quick reference rest of the flight, remembering that wing bottom angle is still the best for positive verification.
If this video was made 4 years ago, my dad owned the rights to aeromatic props. Unfortunately, he passed away around that time. I worked for him at the time and made several aeromatic props around '06-'08.
Question- when planning flights say you’re going away for 6 months but need to catch 4 planes in those months to different countries should you book these flights before you leave or while you’re there?
While you're there. Or look in to the "West" or "East" ticket. Apparently there are tickets that you can go around the world in whatever time you want, as long as you head the same direction, East or West.
Perfect, perfect, I appreciate your flight and you professionnal skill. It's a real pleasure to see you and listen to you. I am frenchy guy and believe me, you're good.
Maybe sideslip using right rudder and left bank. Its easier if you are sitting in left seat. The other thing is to convert speed to height on engine failure, it gives you a little more time to plan your approach.
You missed a country as El Salvador (the safest country in America at the present) and one of the few in the world. I just went there and I loved that small country, and I'll be back.
