This RU-vid channel is primarily about outdoor hobbies like hunting and fishing. I love wildlife and will often show videos of just wildlife. My favorite passion is hunting the whitetail deer. So most videos will revolve around deer or deer hunting in some way. As a committed Christian I believe it is the responsibility of people to steward this great world God has given us and conservation has done more for the health of wild life and maintaining healthy populations of our wild life than any other organization.
@@madhuntsadventures my pleasure!! I'm blessed to know some great guys! With all the frustrations sometimes of doing youtube, this has been one of the great enjoyments. Thanks so much for watching!
@PBAdventures146 first time this year. Ran a saddle 2.5 seasons and switched to the beast stand last year. I found out really quick that the saddle is just much more comfortable. I paired the 2 and have been practicing all summer, and I think this is the ticket.
Making all that noise and didn't range him. These guys crack me up with the sound effects. You put that buck on high alert, the first time you stopped him.🙄
Awful lot of assumptions based on a 20 second video. The facts are, I was in a saddle, he came in from behind the tree so by the time I spotted him and where he was going, I had only a few lanes to shoot him in before he got down wind of me. All three of those spots where the only openings I had, and of course the first two times he stopped he stopped just past the opening. By the time he got to the third spot which was a smaller opening I had to make sure he stopped in it. If you actually watch closely, he was so alert, he didn't flinch until the arrow grazed his stomach. I wish he would have been more alert and actually dropped a few inches so I could have taken out the heart. As far as range finding him, I had ranged that whole area several times before. But he was coming through so fast, I didn't feel I had time to range him again with limited openings, and I misjudged what I had ranged earlier thinking he was at 30 when in fact, he was at 35. And with the heavy arrow set up I had, that made enough of a difference. Did I do it perfectly? Obviously not. But I'm not sure it was quite as cut and dry as you make it sound. I'm glad guys like me crack you up! It would be a dull world if we didn't have anything to humor us. Thanks for watching!
You checked a soil sample😂. You were obviously super nervous. Flex your legs and glutes and hold tight. Flex your abdomen hold for a few seconds and release . By doing that, you disperse all those fight or flight hormones. Also box breathe if you need to. Control your nerves, you control the situation. It happens, stay with it.
I wasn't nervous, excited yes, I always get excited when I'm about to shoot something. Things were definitely pretty tense, happening fast from time I first saw him to shot and apparently the camera mics are pretty good at catching sound. lol. And yes, the soil was fairly soft in that spot 😂😂 . Thankfully another buck came through an hour later and I was able to connect on him. And my cousin shot this guy a month or so later in the gun season. So it wall worked out in the end. But I definitely have to work on holding the excitement until after the shot lol. Thanks for watching!!
@@PBAdventures146 man, that excitement doesnt go away. Ive killed several deer and hogs with a bow, it is easier said than done often. Sometimes it takes a miss to get us back in the game. Sounds like you handled up on the next one. Im not knocking you, I have struggled with it all, nerves, target panic etc. It is maddening. I hope you have a blessed hunting season!
Yep, I sure hope to be able to use my bow by November, but I'm not going to stay out of the woods because I can't pull a bow yet. Thanks for watching!!
Pushups don't help one bit with pulling a bow. The muscles used are very different. I will say strengthening the muscles around your upper body help with the shoulder issues. I draw low across my chest because of a shoulder injury.
@tray22 I can't do a single pushup at the moment and thats after 3 months of trying to take it easy on the shoulder. I honestly didn't know if he was joking or being serious. It's hard to tell these days.
@@PBAdventures146 I hurt my shoulder doing pull ups. Let my body drop to fast and it tugged my right shoulder. That was 5 years ago. I can still pull my bow but I pull across my chest then raise up to my anchor point instead of drawing straight to my face. I found it actually has benefits in hunting situations because if you have to hold at draw that lower position is easier to hold for long periods.
I was exaggerating a little to be sure. But they are definitely not the same as compounds anymore than compounds are the same as traditional. lol Thank you for watching!!
@@PBAdventures146 yessirr out to certain distance as you said, they are pin point accurate, looks like a warm start of season here ...hope yours is successful and enjoyable
Thank you! It was a lot of fun! Having found the spot in spring turkey season and then the plan coming together in deer season, it's nice when something finally works lol. Thank you for watching and best of success to you this year as well!
@HuntingFarmerOfficial She's a character for sure! The first one we caught in the trap. I hopped in the truck to take the boys to school. All of a sudden she comes out from behind the garage with one in her mouth. She had caught one on her own lol. She's a hunter through and through.
Yes, I was half expecting things to change very quickly. Thankfully they didn't, Otherwise my meeting with my daughter at the bank 30 minutes later would have been a smelly one!
LOL.. yep... The works unloading merchandise in the back got a new friend 😁. There are probably 50 skunks living in there from homeowners like me trying to get rid of them.
Like 4, Awesome footage capturing the beautiful alluring scenery as the gift of the mother nature that entice some of the viewers to keep on watching your channel, thanks for sharing and bringing us to this wonderful relaxing place and stay safe always.
@bkbowhunter1 at first I thought I hit him bad. But he ran 100yds straight downhill and when I opened him up it was a double lung. Thanks for watching!
