The story café presents shades of life in short stories. In a world full of gadgets to communicate, one still feels the need to reach out, to connect. The Story Café attempts to establish a connect among people through the stories that lie hidden deep within all of us. Ek kahani hum sabke andar hai. Scratch the surface, and a story will tumble out from every person we meet in our lives. People are books in themselves, experiencing joys and sorrows, ups and downs of life. The Story Café will turn over the pages of these walking books and present stories about their minds and hearts. The shades of life presented here are going to make us feel happy, to wonder, to get scared at times, to laugh, to know the dark recesses of our conscience, to cry, to surrender, but above all to discover the humaneness that lies deep within us. The Story Café is a tete-a-tete with life. So friends, come on to this journey of The Story Café that presents stories about you, for you, of you!
Oh Indira every time I hear your presentation of a poem I think ..oh this tops it all till you come around again and astound us all even more.. love what you did here ..especially the Assamese portrayal .YOU are a wonder with what you do with these poems ..you bring such life into them and I can't but wait for the next one ..love loved it ..thank you for bringing such joy and you in your attire is so pleasing on the eye ..keep going and thank you .
You were wonderful with the Assamese recitation. Literature and art have a profound power to unite across borders and backgrounds. They speak to our shared human experiences, emotions, and aspirations. So glad I was able to share the poem with you. Thank you for the mention.
Simple and lovely poem... it was a part of our school syllabus... listening to its explanation from Indira madam is really an amazing experience!! Waiting for many more...❤
Interesting and humorous. I've read the Limerick earlier. Now you have introduced Ogden Nash as a versatile writer. Thank you ! Curious to know more about his works.. 😊❤
What a lovely pairing of the 2 poems by Mirabai and Rabindranath Tagore! Love is common in both, one with God and other with deer but separation is by way of yearning of God in former and by way of letting go of deer in latter. This comparison is most wonderful as explained by Indira. Thank you
Congrats Aunty on the 50th episode!! It is lovely to see you and Shubha in the introduction. Lovely selections of both poems for this episode. Very enjoyable episode!
... Simple & yet important message not to trust Dhongi Babas.. many women fall victims to them out of their way to find solace from them.. so right.. don't worship false Gods.. 🌷🌷🌷
Excellent story and it's the hidden dark side of our society Wake up call for all of us to take the responsibility and not encourage such FALSE GODS Thank you The Story Cafe team for making such videos that help the society
What an excellent episode!! The similarities between the two poems is very well explained. It is a very fascinating take on literature in two different ages .
One of your best, Indira. Personally, I don't appreciate an over explained poem. I like to enjoy my own perception. This episode of yours had just the right dose of explanation. Kudos
