Some advice from someone who's been doing this for a while: roll only in one direction, not back and forth. One sweep, then toy pull up, go back and start again. Penetration largely depends on the tension in your skin. Pull it or inflate your cheeks to have a taught surface to roll over. Dont go for blood, but don't be freaked out by it. I've noticed 0.25 works best for the forehead for most people as 0.5 can be quite painful and unnecessary. Then again, I've seen people go up to 0.75 with the Derma pen no problems.
