These are mostly captures from my mother's VHS tapes, circa 1980-90. Yes, I know about Retrojunk.com hosting downloadable videos. No, I don't like that anything uploaded gets their URL stamp and I wouldn't get credit for my captures if I posted there. (Some of them are pretty time-consuming to clean up.) Sorry. You can always search "download RU-vid" for faster results than I can provide. Also, I really don't even remember I have this account, so don't expect a response... pretty much ever. I don't own any IP contained in these videos, so as far as I'm concerned, feel free to do whatever you like (including reporting this account, yes).
It's one of those cases of being spoken garbled and unclear on the audio. Unless you are listening very closely and it's fresh in your mind, it gets all jumbled into other interpretations. " Lets get Mikey..(to try it). He won't eat it, he HATES (not eats) everything." I'm a Mikey and most of my life, nobody quoting the commercial ever believed me...oh well.
One time my cat Mao was eating his dry food and I said, “He likes it! Hey, Mao!” I remember this from my childhood, too. Mao and Mikey both start with M. It was an unforgettable commercial!
These random things from my childhood come to mind… like “time for timer…” at the oddest times. Also, it’s crazy how this style of western theme seemed to leave television so quickly. I reckon all the frontiers moved to urban and digital spaces. #smh
Damn no wonder these are some of the rarest vintage toys from the 80’s, based on this commercial kids definitely broke a lot of the pieces. I see videos on these toys today and people always mention how fragile the pieces are. Really cool toy line! I didn’t catch the Dino Riders vibe back in the days…
