Hey! In this channel I talk about the things I'm learning as a web developer and software engineer and the tools I enjoy using on a daily basis. This especially includes all things Neovim, keyboards, tmux, and MacBook productivity tips!
Thank for the setup help - took me along time the video, with going from documentation to documentation. but i hope this set me up for some adventures! thank you for very good approach holding the hands for us newbs for the start. on my way to learn console.log('lHello World") and again thanks for the time and effort you put in this - really appreciate it!
Amazing content as usual, Josean. I saw this video a few months ago and I just go back now that I'm finally getting serious about neovim. Thanks for everything!
Excellent, please make more videos like this, as I can see some comments on the website of your source code, they have difficulties in the themes but I have solved mined, I wish I could share screenshot here, I would show them. Honestly, It takes too long but it works and I spend almost many many hours about 6 hours, Terminology understanding is extremely important. One tip, Chatgpt also gives the directions or if you have some errors in the terminal configuration ( to navigate ) copy and pate in ChatGPT. They will really help you. Once again a big thank for me.
hey man, I used your config on neovim I'm trying to implement the tailwindcss color highlights, I make it work but the icons on autosuggestion are gone. any idea how to fix it?
Thanks for the vid. I followed your tutorial on a windows machine. When you generated a .hex file I generated a .uf2 file which could not be opened by the qmk toolbox. I have no idea why the file formats differ and I have no idea to change it. Do you have an idea how to solve that? (Not a coder btw. - Just a dude who wants a custom keyboard)
I know this an older video and you have a more recent one, but I found this one first, I just finished it and it was so incredibly helpful! I am brand new and just started learning to code. You explained all of the steps brilliantly and my terminal is SO much easier to look at and work in. Thank you!
I love wezterm. Nothing is as fast as alacrity, and sometimes even in terminals it matters. And Kitty is just a beautiful mess. Wezterm just works and is still very fast.
thanks Josean, your video was not just a guide to setup Neovim but also it was most helpful way for me to learn basic vim motions or other vim related hotkeys.
I would like to use this keyboard with Ipad and make specific shortcuts - to write in polish and german easily at the same time. Is it possible to make it all work on IpadOS? Thanks in advance
This is a great setup guide, Thanks a lot! I am running into one problem: When I open a python project in a venv (venv activated before launching nvim), Pyright cannot resolve the imports (for example django). Could you help me find a solution for that, please? Thanks a lot!
@joseanmartinez I want to thank you because through this master tutorial I finally could start working with Neovim without using the traditionals IDEs in years of trying. You makes this look easier. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the community. Thank you for the enormous effort you inverted here. All my love and support to you!
Thanks for this amazing neovim setup. One question, where can I write own snippets for the luasnip plugin? I tried a few ways but no success so far. Has anyone achieved this with this setup?
I have some general concerns with Alacrity. Namely that it appears the maintainer seems to not like Mac. It's not clear if it supports Apple Silicon, which IMO is a deal breaker.
