I bought one of these HRS21 machines new in 1983. Have used it every year since. I only use non alcohol fuel I buy at a local airport. Beside changing the oil every couple yeas and a new blade the only part I've changed is one of the lower handle arms since one of the mount holes cracked. They really don't make 'em like this anymore!

How do you find the date code on HRS21s? I can't find anything about deciphering the deck or engine serial numbers to find out when it was made. I have an HRS21-P. Engine serial number: 1022940 Deck serial number: 1022911 Model tag on the deck says HRS21-ED, with ED in engraved letters.

@@ElectoneGuy I was stunned to hear recently that there is actually a president of Beer Canada. I didn't even know that there was such an organization/operation in Canada as "Beer Canada" with employees, managers and a Board of Directors. How could one get a job like that? Where do I send my resume?
