Looks like the Strizh did better on this trip. Also, it looks like it pushes less water. If i bought one i wouldn't get the top tube just extra weight. Who cares if water comes in, it just flows out the back. I would also replace all the hardware with aluminum. Lighten that thing up.
That's always been the case with 2 vs 4... that is evident in motorcycles too, so it doesn't surprise me. But the fuel burn definitely plays a difference for me.
if you ever go out this way again, look on google maps, a bit west of anyox is some sort of site thats pretty good size that i have yet to see any video or info about... with proximity im getting it s anyox related.. heh..
Where is the town located now, and how far is it from the volcano, and for a comment i saw mother nature is in command it can't work on it's own, everything about mother nature is from the creator.
Just an observation. All the weight is in the aft area of the boat, engine, fuel tank, and passenger. It may help getting on plane by placing the fuel tank as far forward as the fuel line allows. Tried this with a 12 footer aluminum with 9hp, making the boat much faster. Even placed myself as forward as my arms could reach. Wished it had been a center console, or had a tiller extension.
Being a northern guy I spent several trips to Anyox around 20 years ago. I loved wandering around the island. Didn't Care for float plane ride in some days (when windy). But man I loved it when we had boat ride back. Such a beautiful area. Cheers Bud from another northern boy 👍🇨🇦🇨🇦👍 Oh and the fishing was friggin unreal.
