Yiheng: gets the 4.25 3x3 WR average. Matthew Mayernik: Let me create a video with "us vs them" vibes and hype Tymon up like he is some sort of mythical hero saving "us" in a WR average by Yiheng. Put some respect to Yiheng's achievement man! If you did the same thing in a ER avg by Tymon or WR avg by Max you'd get ratioed. If you continue doing this, it just won't end well.
Yiheng literally almost did 3 sub-4 singles in one ao5 officially. Imagine him getting one more. This would make this average (3.xx), 3.98, (4.81), 4.00, 3.96 - and that is 3.98 ao5. Yiheng was 1 more sub-4 single away from scoring a sub-4 ao5. Guys, I think it's closer than we all imagined. P.S. also, if it wasn't the best solve of the average, but still a sub-4 - let's say 3.99 - the average is still going to be 3.99, 3.98, (4.81), 4.00, (3.96) - and that is STILL a 3.99 ao5. Yiheng ACTUALLY was 1 "lucky" solve away from that milestone (the word lucky is in quotes because at this point I'm not sure if a sub-4 single is a matter of luck for Yiheng lol)
Bro, yiheng is endind with 3x3 he most likely will never lose his wr avg again and he will probably have the single for a long time (maybe 4 ever) whe n he gets his sub 3
update: prabhav just got his first sub 6 in comp in 3x3, hes doing very well and is now wr600 in 3x3, wr150 in clock, has the nr single for squan with a 6.6 single, and is like wr700 in 2x2, bro is not mediocre anymore
I think people do not give Xuanyi enough credit. Everyone thinks that Tymon is the only person to have a chance at beating Yiheng but just think about it, the time Xuanyi was born the around the time tymon started cubing. He's only 7 and who knows what the future holds. We also know he's crazy at inspection and can consistently predict 4 pairs and even EO sometimes. As of right now Yiheng is definitely ahead but world's isn't until mid of next year and we might even see some new talents pop up. Anyways i forgot this is about Yiheng lol
THAT IS WHAT I'M SAYING. I remember when Yiheng was like 8 and he was solving in the monkey league and he was usually getting low-mid 5. Leo said that Yiheng will probably get the WR if he got a chance to compete within the next year. Everyone (including myself) thought that Leo's statement was way off, and we thought it would take at least 2-3 more years, but I think Yiheng got his first WR like 6 months after Leo's statement. Xaunyi is having a similar, if not faster rate of improvement to Yiheng. Nerves will definitely play a role, but he already defeated Tymon in one of the SSL3 matches meaning that even with nerves he can compete, and if you pair that with the fact that he will probably overtake Tymon's speed, Xuanyi will give Tymon a real run for his money in Seattle next year.
Oh and btw if you were talking abt the Dylan clip, he is saying that Tymon is the only cuber outside of China who has a chance at podiuming in Worlds 2025 which I agree with.
