With these mono blocks like M50, PP750, etc best to oil the pins beforehand and leave for a few hours , the oil will penetrate and pool behind, makes removal/insertion easier. Also all o rings should be greased and screw threads oil again. Most Snowpeaks have a transfer port of 3.5mm in the Mono block, connecting exhaust valve to the barrel, so no need to over drill them. Drilling out the exhaust valve body must be carefully done, also pack the chamber with cotton wool for example so you don't scratch the polished inner surface 👍 P15 is a beauty, especially with a good regulator like Huma 👌
Great video I really appreciate that so much.. I have a Edgun matador it’s been sitting in my gun safe for about five years just too many air guns in my collection . I took it out today to shoot it, and it had no power. The pellets were actually jamming in the barrel I had to unscrew the moderator and lightly tap out three pellets . At first I was thinking the regulator went bad . After watching your video, I tried that and it solve my problem. 😅 i’m just wondering how it lost power just sitting in my gun safe .
Received mine yesterday taipan veteran standars laminated grey .22 + sightmark wraith 4k max night &day scope + sniper hog ir coyote cannon....awesome....funny....love it ...
Your showing no skill there pal, all this say is the barrel is excellent and not your shooting as the gun is really in a vice, I just don't see the point of this video, you put a half decent gun in a gun vice and you get the same results
hola, tengo un p15 y quiero aumentar la potencia, lei que se debe modificar la valvula reguladora, pero te pregunto si aumento el diametro del orificio no requiero tocar la valvula? gracias ¡¡
I'm sure about the accuracy of Cricket ! It's not about the accuracy , it's about the force of cocking!!! Not comparable with the mentioned ones . From the Taipan website: "Next feature is the possibility of exchange calibers which is really EASY (my emphasis)." You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
I have a UK spec p35 in .22. So what difference is it going to make to my gun if I drill transfer port to 5mm. Currently running at 11.5 ft/lb. Please answer. I notice quiet a few comments with no reply 🤔
The mono block has a 3.5mm TP and barrel end has 2 TP's at 3.5mm, so no need to drill out the exhaust valve body larger than this, if go for 3.5mm TP you can 2.5x your power, then it's regulator and increasing its pressure
@@robbo8870 Hya, the P15 has an external hammer spring adjustor at the back, turn this fully out to minimise power. If it's still too powerful you have to step her down, not too bad as the mono block is way easier than the M50 to strip down, stock regulator has a nut above the adjustor screw, can screw this in 1 turn to reduce power, also stock TP is 1mm so leave for sub 12 ft/lbs. Best to degas gun and leave for a day, also oil the mono block pins so they are easier to tap out, note these pins are KEYED so 1 end has a star pattern, knock out gently from the other end, all in all a fantastic air rifle once stripped, rebuilt and tuned 👌 Also consider getting a Huma Regulator for her, very consistent FPS spread then, much easier to adjust power as well, lastly can get a silencer adapter and put a UNF silencer on the front shroud, also inside shroud remove those metal baffles and insert hair curler/felt wraps separated by M8 tap washers, makes the P15 whisper quiet 👍
@@maximumeffort7836 spot on.. just got her. Was guna get a kral as I didn't really know about these but seen one for £400 at local gun shop..did some research and knew I had to have it! Don't know whether to tune it up yet as I'll void the warranty... so I take it there is no anti tamper screws any where?
@@robbo8870 Hya, the P15 has no anti tampe screws, some screws are glued in but come out okay, if u have a chrono you can fire her and work out the ft/lbs, to be honest 11 ft/lbs is great for vermin control, also pellet type makes a big difference, Snowpeaks like H&N esp. Barricuda 18, Match and Hunter in .22, some Magazines are better than others, P15 magazine is Excellent with smooth loading, also helps the pellet probe is the old type, hollow with TP below the tip, makes pellet loading easy, P15 single load tray is excellent as well as it's high easy to use, P35 will be very similar bar the middle cocking lever, this operates 2 rods , 1 for the pellet probe and 1 for the hammer, am getting the P35 myself once it's on sale or 2nd hand, excellent gun 👍
Your stocks for the tiapan veteran are beautifully created the laminates especially nice, the Red one is stunning if I owned one the Red stock would without doubt be on it Take care, stay safe and keep it lit 👍 my friend
Hello, Man’s World do you know the diameter and thread size of the end of the Thunder’s shroud at the muzzle? In other words, when I remove the end cap on the shroud, at the muzzle, what are the interior(female) threads? I bought a new one from Talontunes and I'm having a silencer made that will screw directly on to the shroud, that's why I need to know. Any help would be appreciated.
@@jaskielakowski8521 Hi there. I'm getting 80 good shots. I can be happy with that number. My accuracy is crazy basically pellet on pellet. One thing to note, I took the shroud and turned it around! So now the breathing holes are out front. It seems to be working very well so I left it this way...
@@robbo8870 came from factory , I never have drilled a transfer port! I opened the box, out air in it, shot 18g pellets , saw that it shot close to 24 joules, backed off the hammer spring... Lowering the power made the 13 g pellets very accurate! Remember if you start drilling, a bigger port will throw off the entire balance, you'll need after market stronger springs, and the factory hammer will not be able to support the hits at such velocity! Also, the shot count will obviously be lower ... In Spain the P-15 is called the "ONIX K2" and max permitted here is 24 joules... Good luck, with your project!
