Got a 2013. I wanna bypass the radio and run my own. But put where the siren and radio would go. My plan is the tap into the speaker wires behind the dash. Then find a 12 volt source somewhere to turn the headunit on. I plan on running a large speaker system. Thank you this video was very informative 👌🏼
I have a 2014 3.7 Interceptor Sedan. When I bought it the AUX and radio worked but the radio screen was blacked out. I bought a radio from ebay, now my radio and screen works but my AUX will not. When you push the button it says AUX enabled but it will not work. I even tried the program with Forscan, still nothing. Any idea what is wrong?
Could be a wiring issue. check the wiring diagram in the videos we have and see if they match. If not then try wiring an AUX input to those and see if it works. There's not really a fix all solution to your issue with it being so unique but hopefully that helps. You may also want to try verifying the model of radio that you got is actually for the same year, make, model and package of vehicle you have. Sometimes they don't play well when not matched correctly.
@@GT-Industries The radio still works, and the cd player still works, and the radio face says AUX audio when I push the button so it's still programmed and wired into the car but the AUX will not work. Kind of strange since I didn't change anything else. I'll get in touch with the seller, thanx.
@@whitestratman3158 You may want to double check the wiring. The AUX function and screen saying AUX means the radio is programmed for it but just because it is programmed and displays AUX does not mean the wires are actually connected. You can have everything working but the wires be disconnected for that specific function. We have run in to that in the past on other vehicles. Commonly it is caused in police cars due to non-stock wiring being installed or uninstalled and damage occurring to the stock harness. That's why we recommend checking the wiring to verify it's connected.
@@GT-Industries Well, that's just it. I didn't touch any other wiring except the one loom that plugs into the back of the radio, everything else is hidden behind the panel and cd player. I did twist those two purple wires together on the bottom to get the horn working at the same time. So, I went back in the bottom and put those back the way they were and no change. The usb outlet above the aux outlet on the dash (in the same mount) isn't working BUT I never tried it before all this because I'm using the 2 -12V below the heat/AC. I wouldn't think one would have anything to do with the other because I can't see the auxiliary wire being powered and I can't find a fuse to either one. Just something really stupid and really aggravating that shouldn't be but, unfortunately it is 🤬 I may end up having to hard wire it in with another cord like you did. 😫
It tells you on the site they do "NOT" email the code. I tried to open the downloaded extended license on my computer with everything on it and it looks like a half page of binary code. Can't figure that part out. Been 2.5 hours and no email.
I'm tryna instal 10s. The wires have to run from the speakers to my amplifier instead of my headunit. So I'm running new wires Any idea how to remove the rubber tubing that sheaths and protects the wires in the space between the door and the door frame(the closure area/doorjam near the hinges)?
Depends on the vehicle but normally what we do is follow the manufactures guidelines on how to remove the rubber from each end (where the connectors actually go in the door) and use a stiff welding wire to run the wires inside that rubber along the harness. Once the wire is all run, simply reinstall the rubber on the connectors. (Typically the rubber simply peals away from the connector it's covering and allows you to push some pins or un-do a bolt to get the connector out but again, that's different for each vehicle)
No not all interceptor sedans have remote start. You'll have to check the options on your car in particular. As far as the remote, you can normally get any remote that you want depending on your version of the car and if it was or was not equipped with a PAT system.
I own a 2013 Police Interceptor Utility, and I dont have a keyfob for it. The manual states that you must CLICK UNLOCK on keyfob before cycling on/off 8 times. When I just lock and unlock on driver door and cycle 8 times, it does not go into program mode. I need a keyfob so bad.

Instead of setting up two virtual machines can't you do this with one bare metal Ubuntu installation? I'd like to run nextcloud and multiple websites from one local machine. I am also trying to figure out how to accommodate dynamic IP.
Yes you can do this on a single bare metal machine if you install ubuntu or ubuntu server edition depending on your technical skills and you will have to change the ports that either cloudpanel or docker run on because they can not be installed and use the same ports. Both instances run on ports 80 and 443 so you would have to change one of them to run on something else. But yes you can do it that way. We chose not to because not everyone has that level of technical experience. That's the same reason we chose to go with the gui versions of ubuntu rather than server versions, they're easier to use for the beginner level users. If you are not a beginner level user though, feel free to change the ports, don't use proxmox and install everything on a singular machine. If you are a beginner level user I would recommend doing it the way we have here. As for the dynamic IP, we have it slated for a future video to show how we do that.
I was able to make all the programming changes, but I'm having trouble programming the new keys. Spare keys programmable is enabled, but I'm not getting into programmable mode. Every run into this?
We have not had that issue. Can you describe the steps you've taken? Make sure you're turning the key 8 times, ending in the "Run" position. If you accidentally hit the starter in the process you'll have to start over. Some people were having the issue that they would turn it slightly too far, the starter would engage for a split second (even though it wasn't starting) and that was enough to cancel the cycle. If you're not bumping the starter on accident, you're turning the key 8 times ending in the run position, you're hitting the lock sequence at the beginning of the process and your vehicle's self programable mode is on, then it should work. - NOTE: This process does not work on vehicles equipped with PATS. Try using a key with no chip. If you're car does not start then the car is equipped with PATS. If it does start using a key with no chip then your car is not equipped with PATS and this process should work.
@GT-Industries I did get it to work eventually. I may have been bumping the starter. That or I screwed up the lock sequence. Either way, I'll chalk it up to user error. Thanks for the video and response.
We are running ProxMox on bare metal. ProxMox is an operating system (just like windows 11 is an operating system) and requires (generally) itself to be run on bare metal hardware.
@@narendrakaduru2603 If you try to install ProxMox on your existing HDD/SSD that's running windows 11 then you are correct. It will overwrite your windows 11 and you will no longer have windows 11.
@@B711HD It does not happen to us on any of our test vehicles. We have used bluetooth to Aux adapters without issue as well. I would try using a regular Aux cable with an adapter directly to your phone if your phone does not support Aux directly (Most phones nowadays require a USB-C to Aux or some other adapter) and see if the beeping continues. If it stops then I would assume it is your Aux to BT adapter.
Yes, "apt update -y" as well as "apt upgrade -y" both need to be run on the ProxMox server to update the package list and upgrade the system. You can run both commands together by doing "apt update && apt upgrade -y" and you may need to run it with sudo privilege by doing "sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y" depending on your user account and if you are using root or not already.
Make sure the pins are all pushed in to the plastic clip of the radio harness. Also, pull on the pins/wires to see if they slide back out. They have a tiny little piece of metal that bends out to keep them held inside the factory harness connector. If that piece of metal isn't bent slightly out from the pin or if the pin is not inserted with the proper orientation, the pin can slide back out of the factory harness conector. If the pin is able to freely slide out, when you plug in the harness back to the radio, the pins on the radio will push the pins in the harness back out.
Yes, there is a self programmable option that you have to turn on in FORScan. In one of the videos we have there is a reference to it. If you do not have the self programmable key option turned on for some models, it will not allow your vehicle to go into programming mode.

So, I'm confused. Keep in mind that I am well experienced. Why ubuntu desktop instead of ubuntu server for less resources. Why docker and docker desktop, there's no use for it just to host a website? Why cloudpanel over something like hestiacp or cyberpanel (this is just a preference question, they all manage webhosts)?
Not everybody is familiar with the server version of Ubuntu and when it comes to finding files and other items in later videos, instead of using a server version we will have GUI capabilities (along with terminal) allowing all of our viewers, including server familiar and non-server familiar viewers, to follow along with editing files and locating them in the system. The process can most certainly be done on a server version with no GUI though. The same goes for Docker and Docker Desktop. While we are familiar with the standard version of Docker, not all our viewers are and thus the graphical version is what we chose to use so that our beginner viewers can see what they are doing as well as our more experienced viewers will already know how to do this stuff on less resource based systems. As far as the "Why this software over that software" questions, it's just a matter of experience level for us as well as our average viewer and again, ease of implementation and future videos plus it was what we chose. Some of the stuff we chose to go with was just simple and quick. Some of it was just a random choice. - If you have suggestions or potential avenues for us to explore in order to provide you (and others) with better content, please let us know. we would be happy to hear your suggestions. We appreciate you tuning in and providing us with an avenue to explain our reasonings behind our decisions.

I don't understand some things you did, you created the API in Cloudflare but you didn't use it in the video ( hence no need for port 80 to open on the router as you can do a DNS challenge with Cloudflare API and get the certificate ) Or you can generate a certificate from cloudflare and add it in the reverse proxy. And last, how does it just work for you? xD I have my reverse proxy set up correctly, and the same setup of CloudPanel in Proxmox but I always get "Gateway time-out" or "Invalid Certificate" when I try to access the site. I hope you can help!
I believe it was stated in the video that the API part was not necessary and we would be using it in future videos at a later point. As far as port 80 goes, Nginx-PM requires port 80 for SSL cert no matter whether you use the Cloudflare API or not. Let's Encrypt specifically operates on port 80 when verifying SSL certs. If you don't have port 80 open, that would be why your certificates are not working. Hopefully this answers your question? If not, let us know.
Tried to do my 13 taurus, I get to the 8 key cycles, it does the lock unlock cycling to let you know you are in programming but when I push any button on my existing key in the ignition the horn beeps? Any ideas? Will I need to go into forscan & see if key programming is enabled?
We have not experienced that issue on our vehicles. I would definitely start by looking to see if programming mode is enabled and if not then enable it. Outside of that, the only other thing is to make sure you have the right key fob and make sure your car is not equipped with the smart key system or PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) both of which could cause this not to work for your vehicle.
@gopaulsalick507 I did not get the keys cut. I figured I'd get the fobs programmed first. Next stop is locksmith, they said $40 to program. If it won't work it's $20 for trying

Honestly not sure about doing it with the ford Edge. You may want to check the forums or other online resources. I would not recommend buying anything unless you know what you're doing and know it will work before trying.
Once we have gained enough subscribers we will invest in better audio equipment but as of now we can not justify the expenditure. We appreciate your feedback though and will add this to our list of improvements to make.
Unfortunately we do not have any FPIU's at the moment that we can use to test on. All of them are either non functioning or sold. When we get additional ones in in Feb./March we will do some tutorials using those.
Well explained but not clear? That seems to contradict one another. Can you explain more please? If you're referring to the picture quality not being clear, try lowering your resolution. It appears to be working fine on our side.

I changed the FCDIM to 0001 1000 20DF. I can't remember if I saved my initial configuration. Do you happen to have the one prior to it. Once I made the change I lost my SYNC and now I can't use SYNC, make calls via bluetooth, etc. How can I check the stock configurations or go back to the stock settings?
There's a button to load default configuration. You'll need an internet connection while doing it but it will scan your vin, download the stock configuration for your car and then you'll need to click the write all button after it downloads.
Thanks so much man. I got a 2018 police interceptor sedan and have been needing this for about 5 months now. We want all the videos. Especially the trunk button. I've locked my keys in my trunk twice now with the doors up front unlocked and didn't do a bit of good.
If you pull back the left inner fender liner inside the trunk, there is a grey plug that has 2 ends. Both ends are disconnected from one another. If you plug them together you will have the ability to use the trunk button inside without the key in the ignition. Sorry for the late response, we have been trying to figure this out on our test vehicles and have had some work and other not work. If this does not work for you, stick around and we'll get it figured out.
@@AG-xz4vf The hood sensor wire is under the fake hood switch plug. If you do not have the wire, your vehicle can not be fitted with Remote start without extensive modifications to the wire harness and ECU.
If you cannot figure out how to install the hood switch then this is Way beyond the scope of your abilities and I would highly suggest you hire a professional.
Been searching everywhere for the type of pins the radio harness needs. I've gone through returning two 'all in one' pin kits from amazon but none of them are small enough. Hope your suggestion from amazon works for me, thank you
Just to clarify, you'll need to unpin the wires from the connector that the amazon one comes with without destroying/damaging them and then re-pin them into the back of your radio.
Hello! Thank you for the video! I have a 2014 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor. The station that used it originally has gutted/cut the wires in the center console area. So the radio does not power on or work. Could you refer me to a wire diagram for the radio? Or possibly post a video explaning the wiring? I'd like to splice the cut wires to make the radio work again.
When you say radio, I'm assuming you mean the AM/FM radio? I'm not sure why the AM/FM radio would be non-functional due to the wires in the center console being cut. The center console wires should all be connected to a single bus connector on the front left corner of the center console. There is a factory connector there that all the center console accessory and aux wires plug in to if the car was equipped with that option. It allows up fitters to access power, ground and other wires through a "Factory" harness. If those wires are shorting out or have shorted out in the past I would assume the fuse is blown and that fuse does run the radio power. Check the fuse for the Up fitter wiring/Aux power wiring and replace it to see if that fixes it. You may want to unplug the up fitter wiring harness to guarantee no shorts.
Hi, yes I am referring to the FM/AM radio, as well as the head unit itself. I checked all the fuses that I think would relate to the radio/head unit. I only found one blown Fuse (#40), a 40 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood. Do you know what fuse number relates to the "Up fitter wiring/Aux Power wiring? I checked my owners manual and nothing seemed to match that. I lack knowledge in this area, so I apologize in advanced.
