I think cooper went to the vault with his daughter but was not let in, due to the divorce. He hid enough to survive the blast but was irradiated into a ghoul. I can’t wait for season 2.
Some really good analysis. I have a big problem buying in with Barb . She takes me out of the movie in every scene . She isn’t a really attractive woman who is obviously a villain .
She was already sceptical, none of that was Mark's fault. This might be the worst video I've seen on the show. Delaware has nothing to do with it,they just want to make sure that you know some stuff. Also they want to make sure she forgot what she was told that morning, like who KE was and what he had for breakfast. You're really going off into the deep end 😂😂😂😂
I thought the Eagan breakfast egg question was simply to find out if her memories of the morning’s conversations had been effectively wiped. I thought each question was probably a mix of personal and general. I figured it didn’t make sense to her because at this point she doesn’t even know who Eagan is much less what he eats for breakfast? Milchick probably notes a salient moment in all his conversations with new hires on their way to the severance procedure, and then puts one in the question list to see if any of their short term memory is still intact.
Hax orange again from your guild. Great job on the video. You caught a lot of little Easter eggs I didn’t notice the first time watching the show. Fantastic job on the video. By the way. We all miss ya at glorious purpose, and would be fun to play some sod with ya again. 🤙🏻
This is something I noticed when i watched the show but when Barb mentioned how hard she was working to get them in a 'good vault', Cooper kinda got offended, like his money and/or status wouldn't be enough to get them into a good one, obviously not knowing that 'good' meant 'control'. She obviously couldn't tell him that there were literal vaults made just to screw with people, like the one man, a box of puppets vault. She was hell bent, quite literally in the grand scheme of things, to make sure they wouldn't be subjected to horrible experimentation.
I’m glad Goggins is getting a cool lead role like this. He’s made for this kinda role. Glad it’s not as the villain this time even though they spun it as such at the beginning until you see more of his backstory. I wish they would’ve shown what happened when he rode off with his daughter on that horse. I’ve never played the games but now kinda wish I had.
Thank you for doing Severance videos! Side note, there is some kind of reverb when you talk. Like maybe the spring on a microphone stand or something. Anyway looking forward to your next video!
Your speculation of barb and fault tech having a long term plan to create the face of their ad campaign for the end of the world is fascinating. Wonder if after 200 years whether or not the goul has become aware of that mindfuck.
I wonder if they based some of his backstory and character on Audie Murphy. Not a cowboy in early life, but a dirt poor farmer's kid that learned to shoot putting food on the table for his family at 8 or 9, I believe. Then became most decorated American soldier in WWII, and history, and a cowboy movie star before dying in a plane crash. If you happen to not know who Audie Murphy is, and are an American, please look him up, he is one of our true heros. I couldn't list all of his achievements in this space and folks would probably would think I was exaggerating. Anyway, great video, and that's my take away.
It's been a while since I watched this, absolutely loved it. Can't wait for season 2 and how else to get prepared than HaxDogma's way too deep analysis😅
15:53 always get jazzed when I see the number 19, thanks for pointing this out! Its a Dark Tower thing, not sure if anyone here is into that yet. I hope you cover the series when its finally made
YESSSS this is so awesome thank you Hax! Severance has had me in a GRIP since it's release. You are my absolute favorite television reviewer. I am a dork and got goosebumps when you said "Let's over think a show about..." great job, you rock
I think barb will become an AI or something along those lines in a future season. Probably did something irreversible to her daughter. I think most of those people on board meeting were an overseer.
Personally, I wonder if Barb started off with good intentions, becoming so high up in vault tech, because she wanted the best for her family and ultimately was corrupted by the influences around her
Might come up, but the Bakersfield CA reference is a nice touch. Fallout 1 says it's the source of Ghouls in California, specifically it's vault. Update: It did come up, thanks.
I have a question that I can’t seem to find my answer, unless it’s actually quite simple.. was The Ghoul alive and roaming the wasteland during throughly the video games timelines? Even though he doesn’t appear in the games, does this mean he was still walking during them though?
The timing of movie where he needed to go against his code and the "opening" of the position of being Vault-Tech's spokesman is a bit too convenient. You at least have that as a motivation to sway him over to the Vault-Tech company.
