Resilient Recovery does two things. We run support groups for sobriety and mental health. And we teach people how to use Motivational Interviewing.
The videos here will range from recovery stories to tutorials to facts and information on substance use and recovery.
I want to share my expertise with you! I hope to make it fun to debunk recovery myths and exaggerated claims.
I'll do that through informational videos, personal stories from people in recovery, and reaction videos.
We also share our Christian faith and our Lutheran (Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod) doctrine and point people toward the ultimate source of truth and recovery.
I earlier commented before going through the video. Some people think that you cannot see God as a forgiveness machine & try to heal their own sins themselves before going to God. They think that we are prone to cheap grace. This has an underlying assumption that people are without conscience or lap up cheap grace. But, if people indeed look for cheap grace, maybe they do not even know God. But, those who seek God or who know God do not do this. For example, I was reading Leviticus and was really really revering God. But, when encountered people again, I found myself having the same kind of pride as before. I thought I will always be an object of wrath. But, when grace touched me (just by Jesus' Name), it truly opened my heart, and softened my heart to really be humble before people (not just for social show). Even if the effect is little, I can testify to it. Without grace, people cannot be changed. Like a dog's twisted tail.
I wish I would have heard this sermon before torturing myself for nothing. God will forgive if you ask him. Christ will bless you if you ask him. Young people, especially men, all I want to tell you is that, do not torture yourself if you cannot overcome pornography by yourself. Seek the forgiveness of God and as Paul Washer says, latch on to Jesus Christ after you sin. Doing this means that you recognize that you are helpless and you need God to become better.
John Lennox is talking like an idiot about nonsense, and gullible fools like yourself are buying into it, he is picking apart fairy tales as if they were real and you can't see it, it's just plain sad.

I just want Him so much! Nothing else matters in my life. If I could go back in time I'd say to myself "Go to the arms of your God! And stay there!" I know things would have been different. You who are struggling with I dont know what! Just go to the arms of your GOD and stay there! All your life, all your days... there's nothing else for us to do. We are not strong! We are not good! But He is all of this and if there is any hope for us, the only hope is in Him.
John Lennox has to be the greatest waffler of all time. You have to wonder if he were not an Oxford professor of Mathematics whether he would have got the invites to speak that he has. He presents assumptions as evidence and carries on regardless. I have listened to John many times and have never been presented with any demonstrable evidence for his belief in god let alone Christianity.
Needed to hear this so very much! It was like he was speaking directly to me! I realized anytime I commit a sin I don’t always go right to God I’ll just simply sit there in my doubts and think that I’m a hypocrite for asking for forgiveness over and over again but I’m so glad I came upon this video! This has given me the courage to overcome this and to always continue my walk with God and to latch onto him ALWAYS❤ praise God😁

These religious videos suggesting the faith guy makes a killer argument for faith are pretty funny. I happy people have faith - but it's just that...faith... just put it where it belongs - as a personal belief - no evidence.
I think the relationship of a child to his father is a much better analogy. How do you show your love to your father? You listen to him and honor him by doing his will (which also happens to be in your best interest and the best interest of those around you). If you don't listen to your father and you deny your father and refuse to do your father's will, then perhaps your brothers and sisters will inherit his great wealth in retirement while you do not.
My understanding is that other philosophies and religions teach DON’T do to others as you would not want them do to you. Jesus moved this o to DO to others as you would want them do to you.
I believe you are right. Worse, many philosophies encourage you to give special treatment to the powerful and to be cruel, demanding, or patronizing to those you deem to be beneath you. Rather than treat others as you would want to be treated, their mandate would be, "treat others as is appropriate to their station in life."

When a Christian Apologist like John claims they 'researched' something, they mean that they cherry-picked information and opinions that fit their narrative. It's dishonest.
Im getting what the Christian perspective is towards the 12 step programs, but I’m super confused about what R.R.’s opinion about C.R. Thanks for your videos.
