Just your average guy who decided to start a RU-vid channel as a new years resolution. Super limited video editing and filming skills ( if you haven't noticed already) Follow me along my RU-vid journey!
Follow along my journey of owning a new Tesla Model 3 as well as all the interesting and fun experiences!
Hopefully my journey of ownership will answer questions future potential owners may have to assist them with their Tesla purchase decisions.
I am a big tech geek at heart and also will sprinkle Tech videos as well!
The trick to avoiding streaks on your side windows is to only use your wipers when your Tesla is stopped. I’ve learned that by trial and error 😂 Thanks for the video and keep them coming ❤
had a dark tint for the back glass and windows once, the only thing I can see at night are headlights. It's pretty dangerous. It's pretty nice during daytime though.
Very informative video. Thank you. May I ask you for the opinions I will tint my model 3 highland and in my country dark tint anre allow. My plan are 30% windshield and 15% side windows and the back glass. But I can't decide on the roof. I want the roof to be a bit darker than the windows but not too dark and since the roof is factory tint to maybe 20% so what is the % for the roof. I can't decide between 30% or 45%. What is your recommendation? I want to roof to be a little bit darker than 15% tinted windows.
I ended up with grey. I just traded in a blue car. My wife’s Prius is white which I like but the grey shoes the lines of the car better. I’ve had a few black cars but why too much work keeping clean
I live in Seattle. We were in the market for a Tesla, and had decided on stock gray. But when we went to 99 Ranch Market, there were maybe 20-30% of Teslas on the lot, with most of them being model Y. So we drove by each and every one of them. Our observation was: - Red: still rare, would never get it anyways. Idk if ppl just don’t wash them, but when dirty, they really look like an old car. I really like shiny new red Teslas though. - White: still the most common. Looks great dirty or clean, dusty or rainy. Always turns heads when driven by. Safest choice to get, but boy, when 10 white Teslas are lined up, it’s amazing ppl can find their cars. - Blue: amazingly looked a lot better than we thought, pictures didn’t do it justice. Even dirty, it was a good color; low key enough, but you can’t stop looking at it next to all the other teslas. Never noticed it on the road when driving before this day. - Gray (currently, the only free stock color): we were so surprised how dirty it looked. When it’s clean, it was great looking. But most of these Teslas had different levels of dirty on them, and even at the least dirtiest, it still looked uncomfortably dirty - which surprised us since this was going to be our pick. On the road, they really don’t turn heads at all, so it’s great low-key. - Black: surprisingly did not look as bad when dirty than it did with the gray. Side by side with all the other grays and black, it consistently hid dirt and dust much better than gray. Conclusion: so we ended up choosing blue. How a trip to 99 ranch changed our mind. Lol. 😂. As for gray though, I wonder if it’s because of all the clouds’ reflection on it that make it look dirty all the time in Seattle. We don’t get one or two puffs of cloud in Seattle… it’s more like 95% of the sky are gloomy masses of clouds and haze 9 months out of the year. So, maybe the gray just doesn’t look great in Seattle very much, unless the owner can keep it shiny.
So you are aware that your new cars came with bad alignment and creaks and you had multiple terrible experiences with Tesla and you’re also aware that on the internet there’s tons of people with the same issues and more with the car and the service center. Yet you keep saying Tesla is good it’s just this 1 service center! People like you are why they will never respect the customer Correction your girlfriend cousin as well! So 3 people you know! Yet Tesla is good?
I am sorry for the problems you are having with the Tesla Service Center. Your video was the final nail in the coffin for the new Tesla I ordered last month. It is quite obvious that Tesla is not here to serve their customers.
Thanks for the recommendation on tint shops. I'm taking my Audi S5 to Signature in CM and was thinking I was going to go with 15%; I think I'm gonna go with 10% now after seeing this video and since I have mostly white seats. Signature offers a lifetime re-tint protection package too, so that was a big plus!
Very helpful so I didn't have to spend time in the store looking like a weirdo examining the colors in depth one by one. You did it for me! Things like color are important when you're spending so much on a nice phone. You trying out all the case colors on the different phone colors and in direct light and in shade well was so helpful. I picked out a phone color and case color based on this video. Much appreciated!
I disagree. Things totally went according to plan....because there was no plan. Haha anyway, entertaining video nonetheless. I don't blame your girlfriend for complaining either.
