also, put box on top so you can access things inside more easily, plus police may be able to see your tag, yet if stuff is in the basket, probably not...I do like the set up, yet price is a bit steep. I have taller yakima HD rack and use my cargo carrier on that and have more room in pickup portion of truck bed for my camping (don't have a tonneau cover). thanks for sharing.
I have a yakima roof top cargo case 30 yr old. hinges even back then were a bit flimsy but they have not broke in the time frame. I don't use it week in, week out so perhaps that has allowed it to last 30 years. If you use your box for camping season, you might be surprised how long it will last...yet one still needs to exercise some caution opening/closing it.
Beautiful bike. How do you like the bars? Did you have to change out the brake and clutch lines? Wires? I have a 2017 Ultra, two tone blue. Bought it used in July of 23 and rode it to Milwaukee for the homecoming. Felt great, very comfortable but something about the front end doesn’t give me a lot of confidence if I were to have to make evasive moves or a quick stop. I picked up a set of Road Glide Special bars which are a little lower with a bit more pullback and will be installing them this weekend. As for the clutch I switch out the slave cylinder with a Rekluse slave cylinder. Much easier on the hand. By the time I got home from Milwaukee my palm was sore as hell. I am planning on setting the tour-pak up for solo/detachable for a winter project.
U set the TRX right...I had a 21 now a 24...installing an Escort ci Redline with shifters... I can not fiind anyone that "sells" the pods and mounts for the custom installed Escorts.... I loved the logos they put on the display pod and the power switch mount. Are you able to tell me where I might find these pods/parts or put me in touch with the installers to see if they can sell/direct me to these parts? Id put my in the same place as yours over the mirror...damn sharp.. Thanks in advance..
FYI- Memorial Day is a day to honor those who have died serving their country, not for those who have served. Veterans Day is reserved for those who served and are still living. That’s why we have both.
Thanks for the review, WH. The lift seems to be pretty hefty and sturdy. Hope you get the air regulator control pedal replaced. The height of the lift is problematic when rolling onto and off the lift table. With that kind of weight, stability is an essential must. Now if the bike is hot from running the engine for a period of time, that too could be an issue while you're struggling to balance the massive bike onto the lift table. I need to see a demonstration. I haven't seen any lift table demonstration on how to roll a heavy Harley onto a lift table. I'm thinking it's possible if the lift table is recessed into the floor or if a wide ramp leading to the existing ramp is in place. 800+ pounds is a lot to maneuver safely. Thank you for the video. You own a nice looking bike and today the cost for a lift and the waiting period very long. Thanks again and be safe out there.
Lol the bed door cant open? Isn't that the whole point? Yea you can take the top part off but what if you have a cargo box or the basket is filled. Good to know. Deal breaker for me. I could see me getting that just for the block for the license plate. Its $32 each way on the toll road by me. Might pay for itself
Please ask someone how to pronounce tonneau. Also, with all the money you spent on all the Yakima stuff, you could have bought two ARE overland camper shells color matched to your truck.
Good afternoon, and thanks for your videos on this bike. I've been looking at purchasing this scrambler for a while. I have a few questions maybe you can answer. Those bikes are around 18k out the door in the area where I'm at. How much did you pick yours up for? Also, how many miles have you put on your bike. I believe the valve adjustment intervals are every 6k miles, then the timing belts every 15k. That seems to be a lot of maintenance real quick if you use this bike for commuting. Does Ducati cover any of those items during the 2 yr warranty? Being a short rider, how hot does the bike really run on the right side, I know it's air/oil cooled. In reviews, a lot of people are complaining about it. Just wondering if it's really that bad. Any owner ship Info would be greatly appreciated. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL BIKE! I guess I'm just trying to justify if it's worth the 18k price. Thanks for your time and videos. 👍👍
I think I paid around $15K for it. On the height question, I'm 5'10 and I chose the Ducati over the Indian FTR 1200 because it is easier to flat foot on the Ducati. And yes, the heat is an issue, no doubt. When riding it is fine, but long stop light on a warm day it is uncomfortable. But no regrets. Awesome bike.
Regular stand-up tent version. It is amazing and worth the price. Have camped in downpour rain and extremely dry. Lots of room (I put a stand-up table in it) and super easy to set-up and break down. Only downside is it is BIG and heavy.
Just a heads up for those who don't know what the laser jammers are intended for. If you have laser jammer active and he get pegged by a trooper, slow down to normal speed and then switch off the laser jammer. Allow the trooper to get a reading. We want these to stay legal forever! I live in Florida and they are not permitted but that doesn't stop us from using them. We are able to get away with it if you follow that policy. This is important to our rights in this country.
I‘m happy to call myself a Ducati 1100 Sport Pro owner now. Just waiting for the delivery. Can’t wait so I looked up other owners reviews and found yours. Really good content! More please. BTW: just came back from a 6 week road-trip (MIA-SEA) including Sturgis and must admit, Seattle is one of the nicest places I have been to. Best from Berlin 🇩🇪
I'm with you on the aftermarket stereos. My TRX is going to get Focal K2 Power active three-ways along with Mosconi amps. Even considering Utopias. The Harmon Kardon stereo isn't bad, but you can't unknow what you know!
nice ! I'm headed to order mine this weekend, thanks for the content. those are my old stomping grounds. got a few spots on my Channel a few miles north of Seattle on the Sauk, and Moses lake.
