LOL the fomo - I went over this and my 2025 consumption goals in a video not too long ago ha! I feel this. I am focusing on my current system and making sure I have what I know I’ll use, and only getting things when I have run out. It’s been so good!
Hello! Many thanks for taking time to review inks for us. Your videos are insightful, entertaining, and informative (they also trigger an urge to rush out and buy inks 😅). Thanks.
I have always loved your health planner and your dedication. I feel at peace with what I ordered. I am struggling more with all my ideas and what I want to create for my reading journal. lol (It's my new obsession) I am excited to use the Plans by Just scribble for my health tracker. I really want to be consistent with it next year, basically health needs to be my priority. You girl, give me inspiration for that. Thank you for sharing.
Totally have planner and notebook FOMO even though I’m already set for 2025! I guess it’s that feeling of getting something new and starting fresh in multiple notebooks 🤔
indeed the planner fomo is there, it is also "influenced" so much by people that do that in a super aesthetic way, using perfect handwriting... etc For me moreover, it was impacting the fact that seems everyone needs multiples planners, but "how manageable is that for real?" how many people really have time and consistency to update and keep up with everything? I planned to get 2 for next year, one weekly for fitness/wellness and one for everydat/work/journal and we will see if I am able to manage that.... By the way I was able to place my first order on your sticker shop yesterday, I am super happy that now you ship to Europe too!
I have that feeling constantly honestly, I think I got so used to the high of a package that now it’s just constant. If you look up the hedonic treadmill idea it’s similar to that. I am on a no-buy right now to attempt to break the cycle.
こんにちはダニエル,ステカーをありがとう。My brain is so ADHD that I need that dopamine fix that a new package gives me. So I feel ya when you talk about your situation. I want that Paddington Weeks planner and I do not need it. I have all I need for the next year.💜
I am so there with you 💖 I've bought more than I need but I'm loving it haha. I cannot wait to jump over into my new items but I don't wanna waste any of the blank pages in my currents. 🙃
The planner Fomo is real! I keep seeing things that look so pretty or I could do cool things with. Not just planners but stickers, pen and everything else. I made a list of all the planners I’m using in 2025 and what I’ve spent so far and…. That kinda sobered me up a bit. I’ve been placed on a planner buying ban. 😅😅😅😅
@@mydandeliondiariesit definitely helped once I understood WHY I was going into a funk and was like why am I buying so much?!? I still get the funk and the want to buy but at least now I understand and I don’t beat myself up for feeling that way, if that helps at all
I was sooooo eager to get my first sterling ink for 2025 and figure out how I was going to use it, AND I wanted to start immediately! So I got an A5 Midori to experiment in. Since it only has 178 pages and I wanted a page per day it's only big enough for 4 months. I started in it September 1st. I am in LOVE! I'm doing some graph tracking (inspired by you 🥰) and I have found planner peace (for a while 😅)
I feel you! This is my first year feeling this way because I’m early to the party. I never buy my planners early, I usually wait until December. Bless my husband because he’s been getting an ear full on all my new stuff.😅 I’m ready to play in my new planners, it went from 1 to 3 real fast!😅 Enjoyed the setup.
I really like all your swatch videos! Always so fun to see the inks you’re swatching & now I got reminded on why i’d like to try Robert Oster Motor Oil! I’m wondering if you’ve tried “Detox” by Robert Oster as well & if there’s similarities between the two, or what the differences between them are? I’m also wondering how the fude nib is compared to for example the fine or medium nib of the Sailor Dip pen & if that kind of nib makes it easier to control how much ink that’s put down on the paper vs for example a glass dip pen? Hope it’s okay with all these questions 😅🙈
So many great questions 💖 Detox is much more "green" than Motor Oil but they both have a blackish sheen to them. I think Detox's color could be more "dark olive" and Motor Oil is more just dark brown. For the Fude nib, I love using it because I can do various line widths with one nib! The medium nib is the other one I like because it is a decent width for testing out writing with an ink similar to that of a real fountain pen. For glass pens, I think they are wonderful and offer a beautiful smooth writing experience, but I find they don't hold as much ink on the nibs is the Hocoro pens. However, I think either option would be great.
I prefer the individual planner videos. It's easier to find among the playlists you've curated. Thank you for sharing your setup and flip-through spreads. Danielle, you (have been and) are inspirational and motivational in my push to get organized! ❤
Hello!!! First of all I apologize for my question not being about this video. However; I desperately need your help. I’m a NEWBIE. I have purchased the Hobonichi Hiroko Kubota: Crescent Moon Delivery Hon planner. I chose a matte black fountain own is a matte black. Would you please recommend an ink for the black sky with shinning stars or a blue for the water with the shinning shadow of the moon? Black and blue are my favorite colors. I’m COMPLETELY LOST 😮.
No need to apologize for the questions! I love chatting about ink in any aspect haha. Your Hobonichi Hiroko Kubota: Crescent Moon Delivery HON planner is gorgeous and I love that you want to match an ink to it! I would highly recommend Kobe #51 Kanocho Midnight, it is a dark blue black with little hints of purple, and it has a greenish sheen that looks like light over the dark water. If you want a shimmer ink, I think Troublemakers Polar Lights would be a great choice. It is a black ink with a dual shimmer that is purple/blue and green, kind of reminds me of the Aurora Borealis lights in the night sky. And for a final option that is a bit more "plain" I would recommend one of my favorite blue blacks which is Platinum's blue black, it has a brighter blue look with black shading. I think it would showcase the different blues/blacks that are on the cover! I hope this helps! I do have a few videos on black inks and blue inks on my channel. There are playlists for both colors :)
Danielle! Thank you for this video! I'm so glad you love these inks - I knew how much you loved shaders (which is my main property I want in an ink) so I included as many of my favourites that I could! 💖
Sydney Darling Harbour, Romeo & Juliet. Melbourne TRam Green, Icy Moon, Liquid Sepia, I have these & adore them. I love almost all of this fellow Aussie's inks x
I wanted to try the HC for 2025. But, tbh, i don't like all the colors in it. Like monthly, and weekends, etc. I want my own colors in my planner😁. The thing is I've been buying HC weekly and monthly kits to use next year😅... Do the HC kits from EMAS, TCMC, etc... fit the common planner?
The kits from TCMC do! I haven't tried kits from EMAS so I can't really speak to them. I find that any kits with a 1.3" columns work great in the A5 Common Planners and the Hobonichi Cousin alike.
Oh I love most of these inks! I have a few and need a few! Hahaha. Aurora Borealis was one of my first bottle inks too 😍. I need to pull this one back out and use it MORE!
I had never heard or seen anything about Vinta Lakbay before and I instantly ordered it based off this swatch video. I can honestly say that if this was the only ink I could use for the rest of my life I’d be happy. (Assuming it was on good paper 😊) Considering I have well over 200+ ink samples, this is high praise indeed! Thanks for the video and the introduction to this color!
Wow, robins egg is a lot darker than I expected. And it’s nice to see other people enjoy wilting thicket too, though abandoned shipyards my signature ink I love it most 🤗 one I’m hoping to get a big bottle of someday is Chrysanthemum
I get ya... August in Texas is pretty much keeping things alive, it's survival mode. We did put in a first ever fall crop of tomatoes, fingers crossed.
wonderful fun again 😄 It feels strange to say this but I LOVE all the greens & purples (& Robin's Egg) the only 2 I don't like are the red & the orange ! No offence meant to the BPC superfans 😉🤩
@@mydandeliondiaries its absolutely tan/beige brown barely green, when wet its that gorgeous green you got!! but dried its so tan. (im on sanzen and og)
My bottle of wilting thicket looks, as someone so elegantly stated, like baby sh@t inside, but outside it turns into a really pretty pinkish-brown color, I don’t understand but it writes beautifully
I am considering purchasing thePelikan M670 warm gray pen when it releases soon and I’ve been looking for some gray ink ideas. I think muddy swamp and alpha and are two great options. Thank you for the awesome video!
I am a little surprised about Mountain Thistle. I mixed that one a few months ago and mine was a pretty light purple. Definitely try it again. I love Butchers Broom. It is my favorite red. I love how you said it's a fall ink and moody. It was one of my reds in my favorite fall video. Love all these. I just got a shipment in and will do an unboxing of some of their new colors. I am really liking the wilting thicket... I will be making that soon. Thank you for sharing. Hope your week is going better. 🤗
I'm going to try mixing it again and see if maybe I did it wrong. It is still "purple" leaning but it was so much more grey than I was anticipating. I LOVE the Butcher's Broom, I am surprised at how much I liked it. Wilting thicket is a wild card, I feel like sometimes I see it and it is green, and other times, it is brown! Definitely worth the try!
Random thought.. Wizard’s Pencil is such a great ink name! Love this series so much! Mystic Forest is beautiful, I love a very dark green ink.. Private Reserve Ebony Green is my current fav.. the Alchemy bottles are a showpiece! The Kaweko inks hold their own.
