I had forgotten what real energy felt like, yeah, it’s been over 2 years and I don’t crave the stuff anymore, surprisingly I didn’t suffer withdrawal and that was key, not even within the first days after go’ogling Steffon Barkload’s Quit Drinking Forever and quitting because I wanted to with no pressure or anything.
Seemed impossible, but it’s been over 2 years and I don’t crave a drop of alcohol, the key difference was that I didn’t suffer withdrawal, not even within the first 30 days, just happened after go’ogling Steffon Barkloads Quit Drinking Forever and genuinely quitting because I was a mess.
What's that about God never puts a cross on us that we can't carry? Thanks for sharing and I hope you can meet your challenges directly. Feel free to share more with me on the channel or email me at admin@wellnesscompassinc.com
One of the keys for us was to avoid moving the same stuff more than once. I've downsized before and once I started the momentum built as I realized how freeing it was. Where I live we can't do yard sales because we live on a very busy road. There are several thrift stores that will pick up. We cant deal with trying to sell stuff online. Its too sketch where we live. I like the idea of an estate sale and wondering if we can actually take my stuff to someone else's estate sale?
I have listened to and read about all these steps. I am 84 , have an old house with serious problems, not enough money to rectify them and to top it all off, a severe back problem that starts with scoliosis and goes on to incorporate several other conditions. No one ever mentions debilitating problems and how to handle them.any suggestions?
Frances, sorry for the delay in response. Congratulations on your long life! When we reach that stage where our physical conditions overwhelm us, it's best to reach out and find local assistance either through volunteer or goverment funded agencies that can direct you to senior support. Don't give up!
You hit the nail right on the head! Thanks for that insightful comment and let me know what other types of content you might be interested in on the channel!
Wondering why Bulgarian Government and all eastern part of EU governments allow this people from not EU country to live there and especially to take long term visa r residency... They should make them go the job market process in factories all the hard labor jobs just to stay there or get out. Very similar of what USA do to all Europeans in US. Especially Bulgaria don't benefit anything from this old man and people like him but pollute and use reassures for cheap. I'm sure that in the very near future it will be a low that will prevent that...Just increasing couple of % of EU funds and integrating that money to infrastructure and life will pay off much more and better than this bloodsucking individuals called EXPADS...Imagine even 1%...Thats a billion of euro.
your video, sound quality, everything is excellent. but your SEO score is very low if your SEO score 100 out of 100. it could rank in RU-vid and your views and subscriber will also increase drastically.
Nice video, amazing quality but you don’t have good SEO score which is very important for higher rankings lead to increased visibility, driving more organic traffic to the site and the overall growth of your channel. if you want i could help you.
We want to move from the south of England to the north, where we still have family, but importantly the cost of property is 2/3 cheaper than were we are in the south. It’s a no brainer from a financial point of view. My husband knows the benefits but just doesn’t want to engage with the process. We have a large hours and every single room is a store room. The week we moved in, in 2007 we put loads of stuff in the garage. Not been touched in 17 years. Even I’m overwhelmed but I fear hubby will keep putting it off.
Same happened here. We had to outweigh the benefits vs. costs of relocating to another state. The prime decision making criteria included less physical maintenance = more free time, plus reduced expenses. It does involve creating a new image of who we will be when we downsize.
Keep in mind the north is much cooler than the south. Also beaches and coastline you can visit often after retirement in the South. Currently in the USA. Have lived in Nottingham, Lincoln, Southampton, and Kent. Kent and Southampton would be my best preference. I still visit relatives in Kent. Beautiful area to live. Think carefully before relocating. I feel you would regret it.
Keep. I’m tired of monuments getting torn down. Keep it up. Discuss that period of history. I’m tired of nihilistic brats tearing something down to erase history.
Great video. Most downsizing videos don’t discuss the emotional component. I’m not retiring, I’m only 40, but I have been widowed and I know it’s going to be emotionally hard to downsize my home and move into a little apartment in a new place. I hope I am prepared! ☮️
@coachcaseychannel Thank you. Went back thru your videos. You hit most of the issues. I lost my husband just over a year ago. My drinking increased, drinking alone. Feeling sad, guilty for drinking, I decided to quit. My biggest disappointment is that I thought I'd feel so much better, like videos promise. But I don't. The expected benefits haven't materialize... so far. In fact, the only good thing is being in control.
Looks like you should have taken your own advice and down sized that outdated hutch and all that glass ware you obviously don't use. Along with the clutter of things on the top and middle of the hutch... The music is too distracting.
You are so spot on. I don't live in the US but I do watch a lot of US videos about food and the pharmaceutical industry. It genuinely frightens me how things are and have been for so long.
I'm so glad! Thanks any and all feedback is very appreciated. Don't forget, if you have subjects you'd like me to cover on the channel, just let me know!
Enjoyed the video which got me thinking. I'm going to downsize in the near future and your emphasis on time management being as important as money was something I haven't thought of enough. Also, btw, I like music in videos because it's a more upbeat energy. I guess some commenters didn't but I could hear you just fine and enjoyed the pleasant tone of this. :)
One Thing I Wish Coach Casey Knew Before He Posted This Video: The accompanying soundtrack is too loud, distracting and it competes with the narrator. For those reasons I didn't complete watching the video.
Your tips are great. Leaving a place you've lived in for so long is really hard to think about. I'm about to start the process. I thought I would never have to move, but the property taxes just keep going up to insane levels.
Eddie it is Easy -- just make the decision to GO. Then the rest of it is just "get it done". You have a lifetime of know how to "get it done" with tasks. The hard part is only the decision that you are DONE. Know what I mean, I hope😅
Decluttering itself is hard to do. I suggest starting very early in the decision making process and doing it for 20 minutes at a time. It can be exhausting. But here is the most important tip, KNOW WHERE YOU ARE GOING TO DONATE THINGS. Have a box or bag labeled with the charity, church, etc. check with them to find out if and what items they take. Taking boxes of food items to a food pantry only to be told they don’t take expired items, period, is frustrating. You know that it is a suggested date on a tinned item but they refuse. What to do with it now? Take some of this anxiety and frustration out of the picture early, do your research. My hospice has a store but they don’t take children’s things. My Habitat for Humanity store will come and pick up furniture, in good condition. Make appointments, have the item, cleaned up,ready to be picked up. If family members say they want something make a firm date for them to pick it up. I had one friend that ran into problems with an adult child that wanted an item but never managed to pick it up. Finally they wanted it mailed. The cost was more than the item ever was. She said no and gave the item away. Bitter feelings as a result. Try to avoid these additional problems, making any kind of move is extremely stressful. Be kind to YOURSELF. Trust me when I say that dealing with your own health and mental welfare in a move is really only going to come from you.
We started dejunking and decluttering two months ago. Multiple trips to donate and just had a big garage sale, and we're still not finished! It's taking longer than we thought since we're older and slower and have lived in this house for 22 years. I can now see that preparing to move to a smaller home, in a different state, will probably take 6-9 months of work.
This is what I assume it’ll be like here.I want to sell within 12 months or just a bit over (14-16,no longer). It’ll take every bit of that to accomplish it.We are in the -we both want to sell phase.Doing what you have is the next step.
