it was 1986-87 I saw the Cathedrals in person. They were the first Southern Gospel quartet I ever heard. They were my introduction to Southern Gospel music, it has been my favorite music ever since and the Cathedrals is one of my top 2 Southern Gospel quartets, the other is Gold City from the same era!

JD was definitely an amazing singer. My PaPa sang so low he could break the glass in the house and we were outside! Granny said honey, we don’t have the money to buy new glass. We’re going to have to go away from the house! lol
God pulls together His lyricists and musicians from various ethnicities. The Cathedrals and others have given us, under God, an amazing array of music that fits any occasion from the highest to the lowest. I am a quartet enthusiast and the Cathedrals are very high on my list. Glory to God for their excellent Music Ministry that keeps touching souls globally.
The Cathedrals bring a quality and consistency that is difficult to surpass. God touches their music and one can still sense the presence of the Holy Spirit in their ministry.

I remember Glen would get happy on stage and feel the spirit of God I remember Rex humbard at the cathedral of tomorrow we would see them onto almost every Sunday in the sixties and the seventies of course ernie wasn't with them then but he was agreat addition when he came and join them I remember their last performance what agroup they were

I think you are confused between two famous concert videos by Sandi The Let There Be Praise concert was filmed live in Nashville, Tenn. and released on tape in 1987 and The Make His Praise Live Concert was filmed live in April of 1989 and also released on tape in 1989. The Make His Praise Glorious concert was filmed in Dallas, Texas.

I had the pleasure to share the stage and pray with GLAD as an ASL interpreter back in the 90’s. All I can say is as a Christian songwriter these guys are a true blessing to the body of Christ. I will always remember how gracious and welcoming they were to me. What a great spiritual and musical blessing these guys have been for so many years.

When I was about 10 years old my parents used to go to the all night gospel sing in Waycross Georgia every year.. I met and talked to Big Cheif one time for a few minutes and I will never forget it long as I live, RIP to them all !!❤❤
