Interesting to see how much they calmed down in a year. The second gig is the Raincoats I remember. Gina appears to have taken Captain Sensible as her model in the Warsaw show... 😉
Surely it's Walsall, West Midlands. Haven't we been told relentlessly that all semblance of creativity was brutally suppressed by the evil Reds? How did they make it out of the salt mine? Immortal band, up there with the Slits and the divine Kleenex/LiLiPUT in the famale postpunk pantheon that made all before it sound like tired old-fart rock (apart from the Adverts, of course).

i loved their energy!!! loved their instrument, loved their concepts and that childlike sense, i loved their sense of individuality and free spirit, there's something really mystical and powerful about them
Paloma (Palmolive) is just such a surge of energy and joy on the drums and as the recent Slits Documentary shows, a wonderful human being - in my top three drummers along with Moe Tucker and Ginger Baker!
