“Simple process” I tried for 4 hours on 22 wrx headlight. This is impossible! I couldn’t do it. Got frustrated and gave up. There goes $150 done the drain for a front end kit headlights and bumper. This is not DIY job. Unfortunately I live is shity over priced, very expensive Canada and PPF places want $4000 CDN just for front end bumper and headlights! Get bent! Guess my car will get riddle with rock chips. PPF is not DIY job. It’s expertly hard. I followed this video to a T to.
FYI. 1. Many owners note that the bearing grease used to assemble this model is of poor quality. It is suggested that the first thing new owners do with their new Harbor Freight polisher is to change out the grease. Do a RU-vid search for "Harbor Freight polisher upgrade" for how-to instructions. 2. Many owners also choose to replace the 6" backing plate with a 5" backing plate in order to reduce vibration, improve torque, cooler operation, and for better handling in small or curved surface areas. (The RUPES 5" Random Orbital Backing Plate, Part No. 980-027N fits the Harbor Freight 20mm Long Throw Random Orbital Polisher.)
All of those things you said your truck doesn't have can easily be done to it with some modification and mine has completely blacked out interior with 12" stereo display. I'll keep my 2017 Pro till the engine dies and then I'll just drop a new engine in it and keep on fully enjoying my ride. I just recently rented a 2024 Tundra sr5 and HATED IT, I couldn't wait to get back into my V8 beast. The turn radius SUCKS in the new ones too, just a small note in the many complaints.
I watched this video a few times before installing my lamp liner PPF just to get an idea of how to. And it was breeze to install thanks to this video and the information provided.
You make it look so smooth! I just tried to install pre-cut Weathertech brand to my 23 Tacoma headlights and it was a botched struggle. I wish I would have watched your video first. Thanks for sharing your experience!
I love the assurance this video gave me. I purchased a 2015 Lexus it was shipped to me so I didn’t see it in person until it arrived and I say this and had a fit. I thought it was a scratch or shotty repair work until they told me it could be removed. And now I see they can do it without damaging my vehicle 🙌🏽🩷

This doesn’t work for clear bra that has been on a car for 20 years and it’s cracked all over the place. The only way to do that is with a heat gun a plastic scraper and goo gone to remove the adhesive left behind.
If you’re just gonna be boujie, why you even going Toyota. GM has been crushing it with interior last year or two…granted any of their trucks prolly won’t last very long, but it’s boujie enough 😁
Nice subie man I just did my 23 wrx headlights and fogs. I actually put blue painters tape on the headlight and used a sharpie to outline the light then pulled it off cut out the shape then stuck it to cardboard paper and cut that out then onto the film. It was pretty quick. I’ve never done ppf before but it came out pretty good. Could you have used heat on the stubborn corners or fingers as you said ?
The front car windows are never tinted from the factory. The reason is it is illegal to tint the front windows because the police cannot see into the car if they pull you over.
Does the color matter? Or, is it just preference? I have a K9 German Shepherd with med/long hair. She's trashed my pickup with hair. You know what i mean if you have a German Shepherd. 😢😂
Thank you for the video. I am trying to do this on my C 63S. Problem is the headlights are very round and I get a lot of fingers. What’s the best way to remove the fingers.
