I’m not Emma Lou, but I may be able to help. Most cutting machines cut but don’t print. The software I use to print paper is Print Shop Pro. You can use most photo software. The printer I use is a Canon ImageGraf Pro-300. I have friends who use the Canon Pixma ix6820. They both do beautiful jobs. The key is most paper sizes don’t go all the way to the edge or borderless. The only ones that do are the most printed sizes. So to get a true 12x12” size, I usually print it on a 13x19” paper along with two 6x6” sizes and then every thing is borderless or edge to edge. The extra 6x6” papers come in handy as extra papers in scrapbooking, cards, and other projects. I hope that helps.
Rettain has a very helpful comment. Yes, we use a Cannon Pixma Pro printer in wide format, to print. We use 13x13 paper to print 12x12 papers and use a paper trimmer to trim it down to the 12x12. Seperately, we use a Cricut Explorer 3 to cut out things such as the digital stamps and digital Elements.
That would have made a lovely video wouldn't it. Unfortunately we didn't do a vidoe of when these were made. Creating lots of flowers in your favorite colors then adhering them onto a round ball such as a styofoam ball.
Although there are numerous programs you can use. Here is a video from Carrie showing how to adjust the colors on the Digital Elements. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4GI4bjX3ttU.html
Here's another video from a crafter, Retta Su how she changes the digital stamps to colored inks. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CD2J_DCU-bE.html
Despite not having the equipment to do digital techniques, I can still appreciate seeing your card designs. Watching skilled hands work always teaches me something new. I really appreciate your informative narratives, especially combined with physical demonstrations. I do own many of your beautiful die sets...every set so well designed for our use. Thank you!

Hey, we now only carry the digital downloads of the Mushroom Cottage collection. Here's the link for the digital products www.heartfeltcreations.us/catalogsearch/result/?q=mushroom.
Hi Emma Lou… love the swirls! I could strongly see the benefit of having elements at the ready when you showed ways to put them all together a few different ways - quickly & easily - to create a variety of greeting cards. I appreciate you taking your time to continue to share your expertise in creating art from the heart. Take Care and have a wonderful week!! =) PS - I’m loving seeing the ‘craft box’ in the background - BEAUTIFUL - it’s a dream of mine to be that organized! =)
I would like help with getting started. I am 86 and really love your cards but it is doing my head in getting around all this new stuff. I'm not sure whether I should spend the extra money on a cutting machine! Please send me the video so I can make an informed decision
Yes, Merilyn while we think digital downloads are so much fun, it's something you have to decide if it works for you. Here's a video with some digital FAQ fb.watch/rvOxufRY6h/. We're using a Canon Pixma printer in wide format and the Cricut Explore 3, but use what you think is best. Another link from Carrie then if you decide you want to try it out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JzDiANVUKSY.html.
This is such a timely video for me as I’m already working on my Christmas card layouts. The Sparkling Poinsettia collection has been my favorite and I’ve just about used up ALL of my papers. I want to become a ‘digital crafter’ but to be honest, I’ve been a bit nervous to start. I bought a Brother Scan n Cut but am having difficulty learning how to use it with the digital downloads. Can you point me to a good tutorial on how to do this? Also what kind of paper do you recommend for printing these downloads?
We're using the Canon Pixma in wide format IP8720. That's what we had on hand so that's what we're using. There may be others on the market you like just as well.
Love your card, Emma Lou! It’s nice to see you use this Birds and Blooms collection again - it’s one of my favorites! Thanks for sharing your creativity and inspiration! Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂
I am always talking as I'm crafting, especially when I'm alone. I exit questions as to do I put it this way. Do I put it that way? Does it look good? No, so don't feel so bad cause I do I. Enjoy doing my stuff, thank you. Enjoy, thank you for sharing me.❤
