My 17yo cat is down to 6lbs. Has kidney disease but no thyroid problems or diabetes. Hes eating normally 3 3.5oz wet food cans daily. Doesnt have diarrhea but vomited once a week ago but no other vomiting prior or after. They say he has elevated white blood cells. What should i do? Im thinking he has ibd. Its the only thing that explains the weightloss

They are dangerous. I work in the business that works with numerous Vets and retail client food buyers. I do not recommend grain free foods. This is sick that you are pushing this grain free. I know at least 11 dogs that have died because of the damage done..

I know I’m a year late to this video but I have now 4 month old littermates. I feed them separate, as well as walks, training, living room alone time and outings alone. It’s more work than I thought it would be but being willing to adjust from theory to my actual house made it much smoother.

I followed the current best practice and desexed and neuted my dogs, both Aussie Terriers at 6mths of age. Sadly, at only 7yrs my male has been diagnosed with both Cushings disease and hypothyroidism. So far at 3yrs of age my female remains free from disorders however I battle obesity in her at present. Once my boy was diagnosed I went down the research rabbit hole and my heart broke. I should have waited until they reached maturity. Both of my dogs are much larger than their breeds standards as the long bones over grew. Now, having more knowlege I will wait until they reach maturity and then assess. My vets understand me in this and are supportive. I have literally spent thousands on treatment and it continues today. Although Ozzie is thriving there is ongoing issues that arise like ear infections, lipomas, skin issues and allegies often associated with his Cushings..This is obviously my experience and the lessons I have learned.
My dog is exactly the same as Kim. Carnivore through and through. Scrambled eggs, No! Veggie/fruits, No, and No! I also separate the egg white and yolk, and mix the yolk through his meat, which seems to acceptable. He is also a dog that needs fibre for good poops, but he aint having it... Raw bones have to be just the right size, not too big before he'll entertain eating them, and he has to be super hungry, or else he just couldn't be bothered 🤨
Hi , I am from Wales in GB , so in in a large supermarket they have a refrigerated area where they sell minced meat for cats and dogs , so when I looked at the ingredients , the 4 th , or 5th was GARLIC POWDER , that was awhile ago ,I looked recently and it still had garlic , which is very dangerous for cats, I have tried to contact them by email, but it's not happening . Does anybody have an idea , and most people don't realise the danger of garlic to cats ❤❤❤❤
Is this about IBD or IBS, or are they similar enough, that the treatments work either way, I'm guessing. Thank you I think we can try this for a cat my family has, and the poor thing is on just kibble, and it because she has accidents. Incorrect. You are not making an evidence based argument. Cats are obligate carnivores in nature, where there is no access to pet food manufacturers that have formulas that ensure that cats get all the nutrients they require. In 2023, a systematic review showed little evidence of adverse effects in vegan cats. Studies that keeps coming out, do not say that cats cannot be vegan. This is a lie, and misinformation that people are spreading.
Guys don't bath your cat, it's not good for cats. They are very clean ane bathing is traumatizing for them and also you getting rid of very important oils from them etc.
Hello, our intact 6 3/4 year-old GSD has been going through some prostate issues the past couple of years; it has to led to a couple UTI, and now it has turned into chronic prostatitis to the point that drips of blood are coming out of his penis. The vet said imaging shows slightly enlarged prostate but as it's become "chronic" they reluctantly recommend neutering him. He is a good dog, blood tests, kidney function, etc. Just a prostate that likes to act up. We are hesitent to have the procedure done but it might have to be done for his health. We were told because of his age, we shouldn't notice any change in her overall personality and all of his development has been complete. It's still a struggle knowing what to do.
Have you tried an elimination raw diet? Maybe carbs are the problem as bacteria loves to feed on them or inflammation from allergy to grains or chicken.

Corn, wheat and soy. The first 3 ingredients of 90% of kibble on the market. Dogs are carnivore. Kibble is just a slow poison. Much like the standard American diet. Follow the money.
I adopted a 10 year old cat with IBD, he had chronic diarrhea. I spent hundreds of dollars on cat food, prescription and not. I discovered RAWZ cat food which is 96% meat and within 8 months his diarrhea is cured and his bowel movements continue to be regular and fully formed.
Could you please make a list of the vets in the United States that give the options? I recently had a vet who said he was holistic so I asked him about just tying the tubes and he told me that the research shows that it is more damaging and the for the animal than having a complete hysterectomy. I can’t believe that.

Well it’s not much anyways ! I’m sure many just want to take and never give back ! So it’s okay but it is sad this whole industry! But what if laws are changed then I guess there won’t be any need but I’m sure there has to be some needs still but it’s sad that laws and education isn’t taught but by one group of people! Okay I’m learning this you have to buy a list ! Okay but see I’m sure this is most likely true but see everything has to be a benefit! We worry about these pets but the pets life is in the owners hands ! I get there is a lot of work in making a list but when you add up millions or thousands of pet owners truly living there pets ! So basically if you don’t have the spare $ to buy the list no info is given lol like telling everyone this is what your pets are being fed lol now buy this ! Laws need passed at the highest level other wise well i guess it’s best to feed your own diet! Thanks for the video and info ! Okay I’m reading she has a list ! I’ll read but may I ask did I hear her correctly that the human grade refrigerated food only had one or two deaths compared to the dry food ? If so I wonder if those are listed !? The fresh food I thought was more dangerous lol oh my word

Please is holistic companies legit ? The ingredient that caused her dog to have bone cancer! ? I’m not saying the name of the company but what can do to learn about what companies don’t have good ingredients! Now i know by the way vets back in the day was different today i think that vets come into the business with the right mind set but with the bills piling up thats a big reason why ! Hey I’m just finding you but I’m disabled so I’m limited on income but my oldest daughter gave me a solid black 7 week old Czech gsd about a year ago ! I’m just learning the working line and trying to find a reasonable priced trainer to learn to save this baby ! My hands are filled lately! Anyways my reason for saying this is because i happened to start following Karen and I’ve learned about the system which doesn’t suprise me ! But anyways I have now switched her diet to a different dog food under Holistic which is one of the more affordable but I hope it’s got to be better than some dog food ! But im now just switched her to the Dr Gary’s Best breed working line ! Cause I’m also having a hard time on getting her to gain weight and not to much but have you heard ever of this brand ? I’m praying it is better! I know there is other brands but I’m hoping with all the reviews I’ve seen is healthier for my baby ! Cause I believe that these large corps and the system is making a killing by keeping our pets sick to pay off all them loans for school sad but let’s face it ! Also sad that there is so much $ blown on research for years when studies should have been happening all along guys ! Ty hon
I was neutered when i was 30 , i instantly stopped to fight,drink and drink-driving and chasing girls :) . well my second GSP was neutered and he got bone cancer when 11 years old .My first GSP was not and did not have any health problems , now i have a 11 months old GSP and he will not be neutered
We are our own worst enemy , and we are part of the pet food industries problem. If these companies made their human grade, biologically complete dog food readily available to pet parents, sold in pet stores it might make a small difference. These companies make you have a subscription and you can only buy the food through their website. It’s to difficult and most pet parents don’t like that. Easy access to their food is the key. Most pet parents don’t know that there is a better choice out there because everything is online and not in your face to look at. So, how do we go about changing the minds of these human grade dog food companies into selling inside stores? It would be readily available, quick, convenient and maybe that would make a difference.
My vet also said that I should give my pancreatitis cat low fat food, max 5%. I did that for few weeks but than I read an article that they have done a study on pancreatitis humans and the study shows that those patients need more fat. Since than I don’t pay attention to the fat amount in his food. But I make sure he doesn’t get too much carbs, I keep as low as possible. I didn’t know about coconut oil, I will add that from now on, thank you very much, very helpful.
