I must not have been working that day. It's funny because me and my boss were just talking about you and your videos. #2 on the Oaks is a beast of a par 4. Since I have been working here for almost 17 years. That was the last hole I birdied. Yes, over all the years playing there, I have birdied every home at least once. Thanks for the video.
I play here a lot and think we ran into each other….once? I’m sure I’ll see you again at some point as I love me some good ole twin lakes courses. Congrats on birdie on 2, I’d treat that as basically an eagle lol. Cheers
@@kasb58 he's got a solid short game and decent putter...the Inbee Park style...he's rarely going to blow up and will make his share of up & down...but with that twist style, it's all going right and nearly impossible to draw the ball unless he flips it at the bottom.
@@alcw625 🛎️ 🛎️🛎️. Someone knows their golf hah. Yup pretty spot on, I have bad mechanics overall which limits speed and distance, but in return helps dispersion so won’t have too many blow up holes. And yes, I can hit a draw but it really becomes a timing swing with my hands. Anyway, appreciate the insight and cheers!
Hey Mark, thanks for the update. You actually shot a 37 (+2) on the front 9. You had hole #2 listed as a bogie instead of a par. Highly recommend you drive down to play the Royal New Kent course before it gets too cold. Every hole was insane!!!
Don’t think I did a good job explaining in the beginning - this specific round was NOT with B Mitch. I was trying to say that I did randomly get paired with him at this exact course a few weeks back! You never know who you’ll run into at the good ole Twin Lakes! 🤷🏻♂️🙏
I’ve seen many of your videos, but didn’t realize it until seeing this video that me and my friend played you last year in this league. Katie bailed on you so it was 2v1 (seems to be a common theme lol). Our team was Average Joes. I’d love to play you in a match for one of your videos. Let me know if you’re down.
I've played Raspberry Falls numerous times, not for the last 6-7 years though, and I thought it was overpriced at $85, $110, etc, now $177, WTF, did they change the layout and add extra holes or something? It's a nice course, but it's not $177 nice.
I show up an hour early or more for most of my reserved tee time, get a bucket of balls, check in with the starter and then get told I'm going off in 10 minutes. I tell then nope, I have a tee time and that's when you can put me out there. Now I just check in 15 minutes before my tee time.
Currently playing PB Dye. Paid $100 for a 140 tee time. it’s 420 and we’re waiting to tee off on the 8th hole. Marshall asked “Is the pace okay?” and when we laughed and said it’s the worst pace of play we’ve ever seen said there’s “nothing I can do about it.” I will NEVER be going back and I encourage others to do the same. Absolute JOKE of a course and management
One of my favorite course, but since I joined Rock Harbor a few years back, I haven't played it. Come and try Rock Harbor in Winchester. We have 2 courses to play!
Royal New Kent is the 16 hardest course in the country. I play it for high school, and everyone shoots above 85. Be ready for a super duper big challenge
Welcome to VA. This course is about 35 minutes from me. And between you, me, and the chat, I hate it. Now in the course’s defense, it was 104° the day I played it (feels like 110°). From the White Tees, for me, it’s a little short with a ton of blind tee shots. My friends are long or up to a challenge of playing longer tees. I hate that. I stripe directly where I want, get to the ball, and it’s in the water, or bunker, or waste area. Quite irritable in 104°. As a matter of fact, I left after 9. I was dehydrated, cramping, and the club was slipping out of my hand. I would suggest Brickshire Golf the next time you’re around New Kent, VA. There’s also a Horse Racing Track there with gambling, and a quasi-casino with slots. Not my thing, but maybe yours. Fewer blind shots at Brickshire, I like that.
Great video, Mark. I'm a FlingGolfer in the valley and have played the front 9 there. Ate me up but I had a great time. You said you're hoping to hit Sly Fox soon - please do. It's a fun course with some interesting hole layouts. If you've never seen FlingGolf, I'd be happy to give you a demo. All the best!
