I loveeee this and fully agree!! I was the BIGGEST over consumer when I was younger butttt once I started to save to go travelling I really stopped buying everything, besides things I actually needed for my trip, and it changed my mentality so much. Now I have fallen back into it a little, due actually needing some things...but how I stop myself is, instead of buying physical items, (that let's face it 90% of the time we do not need) I prefer to invest it into an experience, what ever that may be - savings for travelling, going for dinner/cinema, treating your friend to a coffee...something more human :)) and makes us feel more alive. A lot more than a new lipstick, that's cute, but not fulfilling.
I love this!!! It's so true and something I'm trying to align myself with more. It's so interesting how quickly we can justify small purchases, that when added up, would equate to something more valuable if it were saved! Thanks for sharing xx

This resonated a lot with me, very much everything you said. I am also so sick and tired of not continuing the path after making a decision because my feeling towards that decision is turned upside down. Suddenly it feels wrong and bad. I feel like I cannot trust my feelings. I guess it comes from fear but I don't even know for sure. You said something about intrusive thoughts emerging after making a decision but what about the actual feeling and I am not talking about emotions but the actual feeling. Can someone relate and if so what have you found out about this pattern and what has helped you? Thank you so much for sharing and putting yourself out there. That is so brave of you.
Ahh thank you for watching and I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling with the same thing! From the comments, it's clear that you're not alone, so I hope you don't beat yourself up too much about it. I think self-awareness is the key to unravelling the whole thing, which you seem to have because you know it's a pattern. I know you asked for the opinions of others but I'll just chime in as well! So much of it I think, is self-doubt. And that can run really deep on a sub-conscious level, which is why it presents in day to day life, in ways that you can't understand but can feel very strongly. For me, it's been a form of self-sabotage as I couldn't see a positive outcome and instead could only see the bad that might come from choosing one or the other. The only way through it in my opinion, is to literally keep committing to choosing the best outcome for yourself, which as I touched on means picking something and really backing yourself. It's like exposure therapy for decision making! You may feel uncomfortable at first, but try starting with small decisions that come about your day and see what happens. Notice the feeling you get, sit with it but don't stay with it..as in see what can come if you let it transform into something else. Why a lot of us stay within decision-fatigue is because we don't know what lies on the other side of that feeling, we always pull out before it gets that far. Today I found out that we go through literal evolutions of our character, of our person and of who we are in society. It’s crazy we can say, there is a death of a chapter, the end to some habit and at the same time it’s exhilarating. It’s exhilarating to think we can evolve and we can change to whatever we need to and there’s more. Realizing your capacity is part of that evolution, it’s part of your reconstruction. I like to see people do this and thank you for posing this. I’m literally doing this myself now and coming across your post was interesting, it was almost a universal confirmation that I need to keep going. It doesn’t matter what age you are on this journey either.. if you are realizing that life and experiences are more like a playlist instead of a bucket list, that’s freaking awesome because it’s the truth. We go through the motions but do we ever stop and think about why? And what it really means. Are we happy, what makes us happy? And there’s a lot of possibilities in getting to a very productive place, a very tangible place with our goals. So why not act on them. Thank you Maria❤ hope you’ve reached or scratched out some of those goals for yourself.. from this standpoint it all sounds wonderful and worth pursuing. Even if by now your goals or intentions have metamorphisized.. it’s very worth it:) From one dreamer to another.. I’m super proud of you:) and hope you reach your every summit point you dream of❤

What you said about our characters evolving is so true, and I think where a lot of people get stuck is that are attached to past versions of themselves which are long gone! I think we have to adapt and flow into the higher version of self, which is always changing and that in and of itself, is quite scary. I'm so glad you took the message of 'keep going' from my video <3 age is sooo not important and I don't say that as someone who has finally stepped into their confidence in their 30s, I say it because courage is something we can tap into at any age. There is phrase that I love and it's 'if it's in your mind, it's worth taking the risk', I think Paulo Coelho said it. You have to keep going and to keep trying, even if thing aren't perfect because more often than not, it's about taking the first step. Once again, thank you for your feedback!
