A portrait of Australia.
Hello! Love your setup. Is your truck a 3750mm, or medium wheelbase? It doesn't seem like the LWB 4175mm and it's insanely versatile. The Wheel Bearing caught me off guard tho!
2019 model so no options out of factory. extension done by Earthcruiser, 800mm extension from standard. The wheel bearing was covered under warranty... to be fair, i had done 40,000 +kms at 6t, over some of the harshest roads & tracks back to back in around 9 months... if that was the only major, i could live with that.
@@Askingfordirections Great info, thank you! We're currently driving a Sprinter 4x4 around Africa and Europe and we're seriously considering upgrading to an Iveco. My sister already got one, the 2023 4x4 SWB van and that really got me thinking :)) I really enjoyed your travels and it seems like an amazingly versatile setup! Also very jealous of the wheels, it's next to impossible to find some nice 37s for the Iveco in europe!
I have been very keen on buying an Iveco 4x4 and my research has uncovered some disturbing reports of mechanical and gear failures along with very poor after sales service from Iveco Australia. What deficiencies have you encountered in this vehicle since taking possession, did I see a wheel bearing problem earlier on in this clip. On a brand new vehicle??? That’s a worry.
I went to an Iveco dealer recently to enquire about a 4x4 daily and the salesman informed me of Iveco's intended use statement. WTF. not suitable for long distance high speed travel. Basically for mine and farm applications. Shows how much faith they have in there vehicle. Disappointing.
The truck has been fantastic... you have to remember every brand/model has it's design flaws... all I can say is, i would buy one again. There is nothing else that does what it does in it's class. The new model has some major changes,... IFS, air locker system, auto etc... cant speak to that.
@@Askingfordirections 800ah?! Wow, I had 200 ah (and 520 w Panels) and we even cooked electric in our Sprinter. Why that much? in Australia sun's always shining, I guess ;-) Did you run a AC on Solar?
Great film! How does Brutus ride on Tarmac? Not sure if the allroad is a better choice for mixed on/off road. Just don’t like the look of twin rear wheels and the loss if space in the back.
Would you recommend an iveco daily 4x4 ? I've heard so many bad things about them ! On paper they are perfect for what I want ! What other problems have you had ? Cheers !
Hi Justin, Yes, i would recommend a daily 4x4.... there is nothing that does what it does with the comfort for long range travel. Every platform has its issues. The warranty is supported well and hasn't let me down. I traveled on some of the worst roads in the country... back to back over 9 months and 45,000+ kms. It's a truck and regular checks and maintenance sorts most things out early.
@@Askingfordirections I appreciate the reply, you definitely get into very nice spots ! Supposedly the new daily 4x4 won't be available till end of 2023 ! Cheers Justin
Yer, I wish you could give us a tour inside your rig. I assume Iveco gave you a free tow due to your notoriety and sponsor. I can imagine a normal Iveco owner having Iveco spend $20k sending a tow truck out remote.
the project is on hold (C19) i will be doing a video of the internals... The Tow was part of the warranty... others have had the same support. They flew out mechanics to the Canning stock Route...
Bonjour je vous suis déjà pas mal de temps sur votre chaîne je voulais avoir un petit renseignement où avez-vous fabriquer votre véhicule d'expédition et en merci de nous faire voyager
looks like a great way to protect the paint from pin strips, what price range for this type of wrap on your vehicle. i'm still waiting for the 4x4 Daily Van to be released here to replace my current rig, sick of white vehicles
Hey dudes, this Iveco Daily 4x4 appears longer than most I have seen. Is this a LWB version? Does a LWB/SWB even exist for the Daily 4x4s? What are the dimensions of the camper van module (if you don't mind me asking)?
@@Askingfordirections Hey thanks heaps for your reply, much appreciated. Online forums and reviews are rather scathing of the durability and reliability and cost of parts for these 4x4 Dailys so I am still on the fence. Any thoughts on that?
