Hi, I'm Ben Kahan, an automotive-based filmmaker in Los Angeles.
I have been making movies since I was a little kid. However, when I started high school, my love for storytelling collided with my interest in cars after purchasing my first car.
With the help of my dad and grandparents, I purchased a worn-out 4-speed 1965 Mustang called the "Stang," which we worked on and turned into a high schooler's vision of a vintage racecar. On this journey, Four Speed Films was born as a RU-vid channel.
Having grown up as a third-generation hot rodder, I had a natural talent for finding the right shot to capture the soul of a car. I love to capture car culture and stories of beautiful cars and their unique owners through my channel.
My goal is to bridge the gap between generations, exposing a younger audience to car culture and carrying on the traditions of the past.
I would argue you really don't need disc brakes tbh. There's a reason big rigs still use drums, if they're calibrated correctly, they work much better. Huge drawback though is the failure rate when wet.
Great song! Hope to see some builds like this tomorrow at the NSRA show in essex vermont. I like basically all the cars there, but the $90,000 cars with a $15,000 paint job on top just dont fully do it for me. Or those dolls crying on the bumpers lol. Could someone please explain to me what thats even all about?
Congratulations! Dont worry brother your grampa is not gone! Well only in body. Hes with you every second of your life 💯! You will see each other again.
That car is truly amazing. Would love to be cruising around Orlando on Saturday night with that one. Hell of a ride brings back. A lot of memories are hanging out at steak ‘n Shake on.
This sounds amazing and I know I'm late to the party, but I'm looking to upgrade my 65's exhaust as well. I already have long tubes, so this is probably the way to go. Do you have an X or an H pipe? Also, what engine is in this beast?
I can attest to the firewall weakness. Took out a friend’s GT350 clone convertible, only to have the clutch cable melt and sieze up. Swapped the auto adjusting pedal assembly to the billet non-adjustable, only to have the cable snap, but not before it put a inch long tear in the firewall where the cable passes through. Good life lessons. Welded up the firewall and put a CNC plate I designed over that section. Better than ever now!
Ok ok ok. Not being a ball buster but these videos leave out key things call measurements!! Just like installing the epas deal. Show the how you achieved the correct measurements or possible any compensation if needed.
Awesome video bro! I have a 65 mustang with a 302, c4 3 speed tranny, and in the process of installing a 9 inch differential. Do you have a recommendation for a tranny upgrade without makjng modifications to the tranny bay?
Basket illegal got the term rat rod from me when I was describing the car I was building at Verns for myself. A freind had a bike he called a rat bike. Soo It fit. This was in the early 80s.
I met him at Tardels when I worked there. He later was at a car show in Santa Rosa with this car. I met his wife then. I guess he was in the neighborhood when the show happened.
70s my first skateboard was in 1960. I used to use it to go home from highschool in 1963 on my skateboard. I was in the senior play, it was easier than calling my parents after practice. Then I got my first car.
Just picked up a '67 FB the other day...little 289 with a 2-barrel and single exhaust, Cali car made in San Jose. Now it's in FLA. Can't wait to swap a few parts and hopefully make it sound as good as yours. Great vid!
