Of course. Naturally you'll be missing some data, so the resource management has to be different, but it does the job to the level that can be expected of it without those estimates.
Hi Good Video, I want to see how many times a jira issue filed has changed. For eg - Due date field keeps changing due to external factors and that's why I would like to see how many times the due date field is changed so that from that data I can help my team
Hi, It is possible, but with DueDate it is not simple, as eazyBi does not import DueDate changes. What you could do, is you could to setup field, to which duedate value is copied, when duedate is updated. Then you need to make sure, that eazyBi sources history for this new customfield: docs.eazybi.com/eazybi/data-import/data-from-jira/import-issue-change-history#Importissuechangehistory-Historicalmeasures After that you should be able to create calculated measure, that displays number of changes in given time period based on “<custom field> change” and “<custom field> history“ measures, that were added thanks to importing history.
Hi Dave! Yeah, I know the name was changed in SAFe 6.0, but we don't want the material to be confusing, since BP uses the term Program Increment as a Box Type name. I also don't like how the PI Planning sounds with the new name. Planning Interval Planning? ;) Although by itself it is a better name for the time box. Anyway, we are going to create more material for SAFe in Jira, so the Planning Interval is going to emerge somewhere ;) Do you work with SAFe in Jira?
Do you happen to know where to find the expand all / collapse all feature? The Big Picture documentation states it is under "data" but I cannot find it anywhere and it is also not visible in the data drop down menu in your tutorial (02:08). Thanks in advance :)
Use the small tick next to the column name that has the hierarchy indicator. Basically the same one you use to expand/collapse on the issue level, but it's also next to one of the column names (the one that is marker as a root column in the column views configuration)
Jira has many best practices. One of them is: stay away from Team-Managed projects ;) Because they are limited when it comes to functionalities, for one. They are the source of a mess on bigger instances (starts about 50-100 users). Migrate to a Company-Managed project, this is better for the long run.
@@geniusgecko-project-management Yes, but the company I work with is using Team Managed projects, so it is not up to me to change and migrate whole lot of projects. One thing we all kind want is to have sub-bugs alongside the sub-tasks. Is there any way possible to achive that without migrating to Company Managed projects?
@@giorgigiunashvili7207 hi, did you find a way to add - sub-bug in jira kanban project in team managed project? it would be a great help if you can help me too :)
i have beenrequesting for online training from so long from you portal but i didnt get any response, please let me know where i can approach you directly for the training,
Hello,I have been attempting to establish contact with you for business support and consultation, but unfortunately, I have not received any response. I would greatly appreciate it if you could assist me with this matter.
An interesting question. I can see how this also makes sense, but I didn't think about it earlier, which means that for me probably sub-box is more intuitive. It's because I imagine that this will be used to see which sub-boxes of the current box in context the issues belong to. When I think about it like this, it will never be a parent box. I'm not sure if there's a literal that covers both approaches. Maybe simply "Box" :)
Yes, dependencies are the core functionality, so should be there. Maybe you're using wrong Jira links? By default I think advanced roamdmaps use "blocks".
Hello! How are you? I have a question: in 20:40, you let a talk delayed but you haven’t saved a baseline. Isn’t it necessary for showing delayed tasks? What made the task delayed once you haven’t saved a baseline? Did you use a formula according to the current day? Thank you!!
i love the way you explain and my company wanna use this Big picture and asked me to integrate. Your each explanation helping me to understand clear picture of big picture.thanks love from india
We already get to create the subtasks, but... question: How do you get to change the status of the parent once all the subtasks get approved? (there is some video of the implementation?)
To get that you need: 1. Group tasks by teams (View settings > Group by Teams) 2. Check the "Show capacity on timeline" checkbox 3. Have the source of issues assigned to teams in the configuration of said teams
Thank you for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you found our video helpful. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to us. We appreciate your support!
great feature! is there any equivalent for the project cost or in general with customized numeric values fields? the goal is to be able to compare the changes in project cost over time
Hi Dina. We'd have to write it again, as it was deleted with the cleanup of our test instance, so the answer is no. To be honest, even if we had it available at hand, it would probably be a "no" as well. We don't share the "guts" of all the solutions we show on RU-vid for free. I'm sure you know why :)
Let's say you have many projects going at once and you are resource constrained, how can you see which tasks across all projects that a resource should be working on today? Behind this thinking, each project has its importance, sequence and interdependencies, all of which reflects upon the importance of tasks, their order and priority.
It's quite easy to find the tasks that individual should be working on at a given time, but to pick the one of the most importance, taking into account what you wrote, is not something that the tool will help you with. It can not interpret how important the dependency is, for example.
@@geniusgecko-project-management Thanks. I also use the Foxly prioritization add-in and I can go through all my tasks in each project and prioritize them, then use JQL to see a list across projects sorted by priority score, although that does not include project importance nor the sequence. If the task is not yet to be done due to incomplete prior tasks that it depends on, or in other words, the highest priority task across all projects that do not have dependencies on tasks that are not done yet. This list in Jira is mapped into Sunsama for daily/weekly work planning and eventually into a paper Franklin-Covey planner for tactical execution spanning work, personal, etc. LOL :)
The best advice I can give you here is scroll the video to the part that is already interesting for you :) We try to keep it to the minimum, but at the same time give people enough info at the beginning to understand what will be later in the 28 minute long video.
As always great content, thank you. One tip the camera overlay sometimes obscures what you are showing on screen (i.e. the Risk Module section for High risks).
that is a mistake: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HY7JAwVzvUY.html it is not the same name of the sprint, but exactly the same sprint. That means if you delete it on one project, it will delete on another project as well. Which in production might cause serious troubles
Hi, You are right, that removing this sprint, will delete it everywhere, not only on this board. As the topic or removal of these sprints is more advanced, we did not cover it in this video. It was meant only to bring attention to the behavior that might be surprising and users should look out for that - a new sprint appearing on board synchronized with BP. Best regards, Jarek
Thanks for the amazing eazyBI tutorial! 🙌 This is incredibly useful, especially to those diving into the world of data analysis and project management with Jira. 👏
In Advanced Roadmaps, dependencies with tasks that are not in plan are represented as "chain" icons on the task After clicking on this icon, we can see more details. Sadly, it is not visible in other places, like dependency report. Other tools do it better (BigPicture for example). If you're missing more than just these dependencies, maybe it's worth considering. Let me know if you want to have a quick call about this :)
