NOPE Charlie Nappi Jr challenged her catch after an investigation revealed her ex husband was a dragger and he netted the fluke which was bitten up severely in the net. So the record was stripped.
BucktailBob def doubt it, he seems more old school and some reason I believe he follows his standards he uses as most old timers with his knowledge will tell u over and over why waste money on rubber gulp, when u can catch ur own fresh live or dead bait to get the big door Matt’s hooked and caught. Wow this guy reminds me of my dad, old school and very precise on what he does and uses. True O.G and wonder if he still alive ? I would love to meet him and take his class on fluke and basically fishing. It’s been a bad season for myself this year and to this day still noting but shorts and mostly not even any bites around Long Island sound. This is def one of the best if not truly best advice and knowledge on fluke fishing I seen and heard. #GODFATHERoDFlukefishing .
What I did not know. Angler: Monica Oswald Where: Monmouth County, N.J.. When: August, 2007. Weight: 24.3 Pounds Previous Record: 22.7 Pounds, 1975, Charles Nappi Still a awesome fish even today.
hers was not a record because she rested the rod on the rail of the boat so it was disqualified as a record..nappi"s record is still the current world record but yes her fluke was larger regardless..
What I heard about her not only was her catch larger but so was she... guess she broke both records and both got disqualified as she used a nylon wrap around her belly ..Lol😂😇🤪 kidding ... some woman def know how to catch the bigs ones not only at sea but also on the ground and hook them and bring them home lol
Very good advice about natural looking and leaving slack between the hooks and letting it down nice and slow since the lead goes first and the bait is buoyant.. a bait wrapped aroud you like is not natural. good job !
