Thanks for the video. I live in Missouri and can't see any reason to travel out there to look at a dozen sand cars and hundereds of sxs's. This way I get to see the sand cars from the comfort of my recliner.
We started staying at Gordon's Well 2 years ago instead of Glamis. We still call it Glamis though lol! As a kid in the 80s and early 90s, we lived in El Centro and would always go to Ocotillo Wells with our 3 wheelers 😂 I just posted a video from this weekend if you wanna check it out
I first went to Gordons well in 1961 at 1 week old, my dad was a owner of Gordons well in the 50s till the late 60s. My dad started going out there in the late 40s and started building water pumper buggies in the 50s and the first vw powerd buggie in 61
Not everyone has the skill or facilities to do top notch metal work. So when you see hack work it's kinda a blessing because if they didn't do what they did to keep these cars on the road they'd of been crushed long ago.
