The Must Contain Minis RU-vid Channel is a reviews, showcases, and news page specifically for miniatures games and board games that contain minis. I tend to focus more on games that some people might call obscure. Specifically I focus on Indie and Historical miniatures games and products by smaller companies.
I also cover some mainstream stuff, but my goal is to introduce viewers to products outside of those by the biggest companies. Join me for my reviews, showcases and news about wargaming products from many companies and small businesses.
For those who don't know, Must Contain Minis started as a Blog in 2016. That website still exists and I post written wargame content there 3 nights a week. That way, there is new content there for you at the start of each day of the workweek. This RU-vid Channel is an extension of that website.
On top writing for Must Contain Minis, I also write for Bell of Lost Souls.
Nice figures but could do with having a sponge around those figures like other firms tend to do when being packed, slopping around in that box while in the mail no wonder they arrive all bent , not good business practice really
Excellent video, short and to the point with excellent visuals of the minis. The size comparison is very useful and something that often gets forgotten in mini review videos. The only thing that would have been more useful is a GW Empire figure being in there as I think that's what a lot of people will be using them for. Great idea to use them as a Saga warband as well, it a very cohesive looking force. Awesome work! Keep it up.
Personal opinion but I think you went way to heavy with the primer. It's a common mistake, you can thin it down (Carefully), but primer is to give you a surface, not a color. You were essentially painting the primer on. Not saying it should always be translucent, but I can "feel" a primer, I don't necessarily need to see it.
Je suis en train de peindre les monstres epic en ce moment ( je viens de recevoir mon all in ) hâte de jouer avec ! De très belles peintures qui mettent les figurines en valeur ! J adore ce que tu as fait !
I wanna askHi, I want to ask, if you should only take one of these cases, which one would you take? I have about the same number of colors as you, but the work proch is not completely settled. I had two motivations to buy. Transportation to coloring meetings and a complete workspace at home. I wonder if the big package won't be heavy to transport with all the colors. Please, I would like to get some advice from you.
Thanks for your video, without it I would have struggled a bit more than I did. I have to say I am surprised at a kit costing as much as this not even having basic instructions on how to put them together? relying on a QR code which actually does not work? Cruisers were a nightmare to assemble... thanks again for your assistance
Paint them black.Thin layer of white paint on something flat such as piece of plastic or whatever ,then touch the numbers on that paint on flat surface. Done and dusted. Just like kids stencils. Don't ne wasting your time.
Great video. Very compact, all the information you need and the tips on how to integrate the creature into your own army is very valuable, especially for me as a beginner, keep it up!
To be honest, other than the portability aspect, I liked your previous setup better. Everything was more accessible. But being able to throw it all in, close it up and go is a very nice bonus.
Fair enough. Don't get one unless you are sure it fits your needs. I only measured GW paint pots and Army Painter / Vallejo dropper bottles. If you are using other brands, I am not certain how many of them will fit into this case. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
100%. Personally, I really enjoy the Death Fields miniatures by Wargames Atlantic, but I these could likely work as Vostroyan Firstborn with some creative painting or some advanced kitbashing. Good luck with your project. It should be a fun one!
The reason you would use clippers instead of hobby knives is those delicate little muskets are likely to snap if you cut with a knife unless you get something directly under them. It is telling that we didn't see you cutting those muskets. How many did you break?
Most of the bayonets bounced back pretty good, but I did break a couple. None were sawed all the way through, but small number were weaker after the cut. Thank you for commenting.
Thin priming and splotchiness are okay if your primer isn't meant to serve as your undercoat. If you use your primer only as actual primer, i.e. as a method to attach the basecoat paint to a plastic surface, the primer coat can essentially be translucent. It just needs to be there and serve no further purpose. However, most gamers expect primer to double as an opaque and even basecoat, especially if they work with transparent paints like Contast. That's a lot more difficult with brush on primer than sprayed one, especially white ones.
Awesome. Thank you. I use them as human defence force stormtroopers in opr now. They get a lot of tabletop time compared to some other models in my collection.
The models look neat, can't wait to see you review them. I really like Conquest models for their looks, their scale is only thing that puts me off as they seem so much larger than contemporaries.
Yes! A great sources of minis and proxies are the independent companies. I didn't want a printer for a while, as I'd purchased one years ago and it was a pain in the A. I've picked up a printer again, and am slowly setting it up. Personally I'm quite satisfied with purchasing 3D prints from vendors! No Muss no fuss...This monster is GNARLY! Thanks for the post!! 👍👍
