This is quite the process , with tape, flashing , calk plus the original target piece. No wonder its like $25.00 a square foot . How long can you expect this to last exposed to NJ elements?
The pulling apart of the sample test plate weld has always been the most difficult part without damaging the test. Any recommendations that might make that easier?

I’ve been in roofing for 10 years and never seen a scupper roofed in like that. Caulking at the seams? We put a target of material and 4 corners of detail
Advice for anyone who does this: done ever pour it out around edge like this, it will prematurely crack and leak. You want to go up the pipe and let it drain down creating a small slope. It also works better if you use painters tape on the tpo and overfill an ⅛"-¼". BUT NEVER leave it flush at the pipe or below the lip like this
Sad JM still refuses to make pre fabricated corners so you don't have to strech the material and make it a weak point. 80% of EPDM leaks are always the corners.
Where is the water cut off at top of the curb ? Not to mention your patch at side lap of curb. If you we're to 45° cut at side lap your corner would have covered it. Kinda crazy ! Little more time in the field needed .
The ambient temperature dictates the weld. If it is 44 degrees in the morning and then gets to 60 degrees at noon the weld setting needs to be adjusted from the 44 degree weld setting. Tighten up guys.
Not true that glue is some real heavy duty stuff im using it first hand every day at my job but yeah manufacturers have certain temp and humidity ranges best time to do that is waiting till mid day when the suns up and out and shining at its peak and where humidity is at its lowest it might be different with northern states during winter but i wouldnt know as i have only roofed on floridian roofs
I just got picked up by the Union here In Jefferson City,MO. Its been years since I've done any heat welding. I've been watching your videos going thru each one, just to say current and keep a productive state of mind. Thank You!!
Union roofer from cape cod Boston areas. I have been roofing for over 40 years. Other than him showing how to do epdm roofing drain. I think he should have shown the proper way to apply the water cut off but, he really should show a drain totally sealed I know most roofers will pretty much know how much cut off to use. But other than that I kinda find them relaxing and helpful with keeping up with new sealants and products. The only downside is that civilians will learn how to do it. Causing professional roofers like us not to get that you are a roofing god. Cause you fixed the leak in the ceiling they’ve been dealing with for the last two years it rains . ( probably cause they’re landlord has been watching videos like this). We will just be blended into the other construction workers.lol😂😂 just kidding lol. Roofing fed my family and paid the bills. Working 50-65 hour work weeks during season. I love roofing I worked like it was a sport. I would be doing more roofing if we could get people to labor. Nobody wants to do it anymore. I have rambled on for longer than I ever have or wanted.lol I will shut up now 😊 like
