I use my cameras in lower light for MTBing in forest areas, no 1 inch and VERY good low light performance = no purchase for me. Im sure the anext Insta will have dual 1 inches. Im not keen on buying a Wide angle lens, the base camera should already do that like the x4. I would buy a macro lens though
Ugh. Why do they always sacrifice removable batteries? If it was a totally new form factor or something really small like the session or the go, sure, I get it, but if it's just a go pro that is like half an inch smaller I'm really not too interested. The trade off for removable batteries should be a camera that can shoot shots a regular go pro can't. "Its a little smaller though" just doesn't cut it. There "entry level product" should just be a straight forward device, same form factor, removable battery, max shooting at 4k 60. No fancy modes and no screen on the back. They just really do not seem to understand what people actually want.
The answer is in your description, action camera which means it’s not meant for low light shoots in the main… very few action cameras have 1 inch sensor and if GoPro released 13 with a 1 inch sensor people would complain about the big price increase… :(

Low light performance has been a huge problem for action cams since their Inception, the insta ace pro really stepped it up in this field making it abundantly clear that the technology to make it happen is there and there is really no excuse
@@bingbong6127 the majority of action happens in good light, action cameras are aimed at that marketplace… so because there is one action camera with a 1 inch sensor (not the Pro but the Insta360 ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition) they all should follow suit? Your comment underlines my point… the 1 inch edition is approximately $300 more than the new GoPros when they are released… MOST people don’t want to pay $800 for an action camera when the one they do buy fits all their needs for $500! PS: The Ace Pro is not a 1 inch sensor it is 1/1.3" sensor
I would be happy with a camera that doesn't heat up and has a longer battery life. My Gopro hero 10 died and I opted to buy Osmo Action 4, which has serious blur problems and worse image quality. I think Gopro is the action camera with the best image quality but it needs to urgently improve its manufacturing.
It’s always fun to speculate and guess. As always I’m wanting better low light and easier high quality audio. It is past time for a Media Mod 2.0 with like dual Rode VideoMicro II mics built in. Like every version since the 8 I’ll order the 13 on launch day, whatever it is. I don’t have a need for the more basic version.
Great video, thanks for sharing! I'd never use ND filters that require to take the lens of. I am filming in very dusty and dirty environment and only would use the oem dji ND filters which don't require to remove the lens.
it doesn't make much sense, comparing dji's log and ace pro's HDR mode. At the very least I should have applied dji's LUT to the 10bit log file. Also, the video camera you film with seems to be the Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5LEB, in the woods when you talk to the 3 action cams next to each other, the sky is gray. I don't think the panasonic is inferior to the ace pro, then explain to me why the insta makes the sky blue, when it is actually gray, this creates an unnatural forcing. On top of that on the dji I don't think you even adjusted sharpness and noise reduction
it's nice to notice when you shoot with the camera ( not the action cams) and you see the 3 action cams framed and him talking, the sky behind him is gray. Then you look at the insta 360 videos and magically it is blue.
My test, experience: this information is hardly mentioned on RU-vid. Set your OSMO Action4 to at least 1/160sec or better 1/200sec in Rock Steady mode (digital stabilizer). The stabilizer is overwhelmed with shorter exposure times and you get unusable, blurry images. So you can forget about the often recommended 25/30 images with a 50/60sec exposure time with ND filter "Motion Blur" (180 degree rule) for smooth images. You almost always need digital stabilization switched on with an action cam.
The insta 360 ace pro video quality suck so bad stay away from it i can certainly assure you no matter which setting or filter or 8k 4k vivid standard whatever setting you may try when you export the video the quality will look like a smartphone from 5 years ago i say stay away buy a new smartphone instead any average smartphone have better camera then this
Would you leave the shutter speed on auto when using the ND Filters? I'm assuming the Action 4 would just automatically reduce the shutter speed to compensate for the ND filter, which would result in a shutter speed that looks more cinematic.. ?
Nice video man. For the car, I noticed you have 2 boom suction mounts. Do you feel it is necessary or will 1 suction boom mount be enough to support the GoPro? Thanks
