1. Can anyone tell me the full name of Superman in the first place? 2. Today I saw the DC DIRECT PAGE PUNCHERS SUPERMAN figure for the first time. This is a retro figure, what do you think about comparing it to the #1 or #2 hush Superman on this list?
I just got mine in today. minimal issues with mine, the pupal on one of the heads was smudged, the holster fell off (just reglued it), the waste joint is stuck, and the left wrist socket is a bit loose. a decent figure for the price, can't wait to get one of the finalized ones from PDNA to compare them.
Hopefully it doesn’t have any issues especially for $60 but like I said in the video mine didn’t have any joint issues just paint mistakes here and there!
I had to wait ages for this figure, as it wasn’t released in the UK until early July. I slightly customised my one by changing / replacing her hair for a shorter style.
I love all the figures I have from this set so far. No QC issues for me. EDIT: Also, they do have professor monkey for a head restocked, but you'll have to get him quickly, he sells out very fast.
I am so stoked about this figure !!! I collected John Byrne’s Sensational She Hulk line back in the day and this figure is true to the authenticity of the comic book character.
@@JBTMR I purchased 3 sets of 1:12 scale gym barbells for my she hulk action figure. I wish I could post a photo on here to show but, the end result is awesome and it gives her a great custom accessory.
Congrats on finding She-Hulk. I haven't seen it yet in my neck of the woods. I didn't notice the slight color difference on the knees and elbows. Very informative review. Thank you. 🙂
True but getting that Mafex is expensive about $200 and you think spending that much on a figure I wouldn’t even touch let alone breath on it. But you can buy a ML brown suit wolverine for a great prices compared to the Mafex on the second market!
Comes as a shock but my favorite is the Logan And Sabretooth two pack figure. The claw shapes, detail on the shirt, belt and jeans and the cowboy hat heads are just perfect. It's my personal favorite look for wolverine as well. I don't mind that he's not in costume on this figure. The cowboy look for Logan just fits perfectly
My favorite is also the brown suit, but i kind of favor the Juggernaut wave one, over the retro one. Yes, the unmasked head is nice (not necessarily the best version) and I love the mask that sits around his neck, but I didn't like that he came without a set of reg hands without claws.
The 97 Wolverine looks good for sure……but he DEF lacks in detail. Not the best comic book Wolverine…..best animated version perhaps. Love Triangle is easily the best Buck. Same as Apoc wave and vhs, etc.
Nice video. I agree with most of your list. I personally feel like the Ursa Major wave Modular Suit is better only because I just love the metallic colors they used.
Incredible Stop Motion but me knowing I’ve done Stop Motion before I know that took a lot of fucking time you put in the work and you did great my friend
Other that improving the paintjob, NECA took the laziest route possible with this "ultimate" figure. The sculpt is very old at this point but still looks good, but this would have been a great opportunity to improve the terrible, almost useless articulation of the original, but instead they just released the same exact old outdated figure with a few extra accessories. Bummer. Also, why is NECA unable to create decent-looking muzzle flash accessories? Every one they've ever made looks like trash, this one included.
Like you said sometimes they can be lazy when it comes to some figures they do. While others with complete brand news sculpts they’ll put some effort into it.
@@JBTMR Indeed. I am a NECA fan but I hate it when they coast by on some of their releases. But when they put in the effort, they create masterpieces, like the recent D&D Warduke figure. That thing is magnificent.
Yeah, I was impressive by this Ultimate Cap, I like more when Cap looks like a soldier, but since Team Hasbro ML is a big fan of Cap, they gonna release a classic one pinless sooner. They knew this is the next step for Rogers figures.
I want to add, I think the Ultimate Cap is very underrated as I do not see anybody mention him as a great Cap figure while to me he looks amazing. He blends both modern and classic (which was the point of the Ultimate version) which is why I say he can be in any collection as your main Cap. In addition, he is what the MCU version is based off of. So you can see that in him as well with the more modern gear looking tactical and less costume like.
I find this very interesting. The only Captain America I own is the Ultimate one. But even though the 20th Ann is more classic, it is very expensive. And that shield issue with the holes would be very annoying. I for sure would say though people could go back in forth with the 20th and Ultimate, the fact the Ultimate is a lot more affordable makes it the current Cap to buy if you are just starting your collection.
I'm gonna give u so much sh!t for numbers 3, 4 & 5 on tomorrow night's podcast ..... At least you kinda redeemed yourself with number 1 & 2 ....... lol
Good list. Superman #5 - I put the Superman 1000 head and the movie 2 Shazam's hands, much better proportioned. Still need to find new trunks for him. Superman #4 - Perfect replacement for my MOTU bodied Mattel Superman. Superman #3 - Love this sups, which he was about 10% smaller. I have both the red and the black. Superman #2 - Great Superman, needs diff head IMO and wish it did not have the lines on the suit. Superman #1 - I have both the first release 1000 and the new one released with the 2 pack in lighter blue. But again with the suit lines. Depending on how good the Earth 2 Superman is, will decide which one will be my Christopher Reeve Superman.
