Welcome! On my channel I upload videos of any kind of elevator I manage to record in the Pittsburgh and Erie Pennsylvania areas and beyond, as well as an occasional non-elevator video. I prefer more unique and vintage elevators, but I'll record anything, preferably 1s not as many people know about. My upload schedule is typically 2 videos every other 3 days, although there are some exceptions. If you would like to get in touch with me, feel free to DM me on Instagram (preferred), or email me at the bottom (desktop).

Watching this video again, what was the rear door for, like what floors did it open up on? And was there a low rise special service elevator that I’m not aware of?
Installed 1954. Still original in August 2024. They are going to make a museum on the top floor in the next few years and if this beauty is still original it will probably be public again. I got to ride with staff permission so if checking this out, ask because it is now by a register.
Oh interesting, if the museum ends-up happening that would be very cool & cool that this would be public again. There was a register but no 1 was there when I was there.
Oh, I remember the old service elevator at the Andy Warhol museum When I was a senior in high school I did an internship there and part of what I would have to do is help bring stuff up to the different floors for the different exhibits and I would have to use that elevator and I remember that buzzer that that elevator had
I remember riding some of these for a school programming competition at the Lodge, they were always packed with people; I believe one of them got stuck as there were a couple people outside of the doors yelling into the shaft I didn't investigate why, just a guess
The old airport, I heard is planned to be a convention center. I hope they keep the lower level open and create a lookout without the trains in the tunnels for the future.
After pressing the down button to go down & the doors open, press the up button, get in, select a floor inside to go down, then the elevator will go down then go back up.
These are new installs from several years ago that were never even done properly in the beginning & now they're in even worse shape than this video. Hershey is just a generic mod. done by Hadfield's other office, we'll see how well those hold.
Is Alliance a company like Canton (which I believe provides complete elevators for other companies to install)? This is my first time hearing of them. At least so far, I don't think I have come across a generic/3rd party MRL install.
Is this an overhead drum elevator? Overhead drum machines are MUCH rarer than basement drum. Did this building have a manual elevator in passenger service as recently as 2011?
Yes & yes I believe. Somewhat unrelated but sadly the last 3 semi-annual inspections have marked this elevator as OOS (including 1 from 2 weeks ago), so I'm not so certain about this elevator's future.
Probably one of the very first installs with the bird chirp. Been on a 1982 Dover Traditional with one as well but had no idea they offered it in '81 as well, probably was when they debuted it
Is this more of a vacation rental type building (i.e. no front desk)? There was a Sonder building in San Francisco though I'm unsure if it's currently open.
Did anyone get parts from these elevators? Especially since you put the update in the description that they just started modding the other two, hoping someone can get one of the old COP‘s or something?
Someone got 1 of the old "THIS CAR UP" lanterns from the 1st 2 that got modded several years ago but that's all I know. Someone else is in touch with an Industrial Commercial mechanic for this latest mod. so we'll see.
