In Greece the sumsung company didn't covered mine...have problem with inside screens ...i very disappointing with that...because the phone doesn't have nothing that can say that no drops down....my opinion don't buy Folds
Crap battery no Spen, no pen on front screen, no embedded spen what the hell are Samsung doing I want to see the one plus open to see what they have to offer in
I did the same thing. Took the $900 trade-in credit for my S24 Ultra. At this point, are you still def going to trade your S24U in? Also, thoughts on that Samsung case? Any concerns about dropping it on the hinge?
The hinge is definitely vulnerable from drops and a different case that covers it may be more suitable. I just don't like too much extra weight so will try to be careful instead. The ultra is gone.
Battery capacity is bigger on the S24 Ultra at 5000mAh compares to 4400mAh on the Fold 6. However both are giving me a full day of use with no problem. It's still disappointing that Samsung kept a 25W charging speed instead of bumping up to 45W like the S24 Ultra.
I just got mine and put in for an immediate return. Luckily I ordered my S24 Ultra 1 TB. The fold 6 is way too small on the outter screen and for the amount of money I spent I want to feel some engineered technology in my pocket not a lite feather for $1800 . I connected my phone to Wi-Fi and it says a new Z fold 5 was connected . Software is a simple update especially with the chipset that's already in the Z fold 4 and 5 so why go out there and spend money on a phone that's shorter and thinner . Where's the actual upgrade for the z fold 6 besides software? People are delusional for believing this phone is actually better than what we already have.
How is the 24 ultra much better than the 23 ultra? I own the Fold 4, s24 ultra, and did the trade in for 650 for the fold 6. I enjoy the fold more. I have the ultra for my business line and camera.
@@jd2161 its not that the s24 ultra is that much better but it has 7 years of software and security updates plus a flat screen, most current AI features along with everything that made the s23 ultra great. I also prefer the color option the s24 ultra has and I don't have time to be staring at my phone I prefer to interact with people and travel. I think the fold is great but I prefer a bigger device like the s ultra line in a folding device. It's something about biking or working out , running , walking and laying by the water with a device that has all day battery that can withstand dust or sand . When I'm listening to music or catching up on events I need my battery to last . I don't always want to open my phone just for a bigger screen.
I have the s24 ultra and it does not have all day battery... At least for.me. Plus the cameras are trash on the ultra. I wish I would of kept my 22 and have my fold 6 as a alternative. The only good thing so far about the 24 is the software and bright screen.
Must admit I absolutely love that online special texture edition, it works amazingly well with the new camera bump. As for the crease, it never bothered me on my Z Fold 4 so it would be completely unnoticeable to be on this device with the further improvements. Very tempted to trade in and get this new fold despite promising myself I would hold off till the S25 ultra. Great vid Jo 👌
I traded my fold 4 for the 6 and its 100% an upgrade. i can see why people wouldn't upgrade from the 5 the same way i didn't want to go from 4 to 5 but the 4 to the 6 is noticeable
Great review Joe, and I agree about how much of an improvement the watch 6 classic was over the 5. The new ultra has such a different look and I'm not sure that's for me. Will you be considering the galaxy ring? Really looking forward to your reviews of the new z fold 6 if you are upgrading

I prefer the ultra for the bigger screen (14.6 vs 12.4) and battery, additional selfie camera and it has a 1TB 16GB RAM version. Not much else is different so the plus is also ok.
@Jo3NTech Okay, thank you so much, I checked the price for the 1tb on amazon, and it is so expensive I want to go for the 256gb as I have 10th gene that I am still using. I want to know if the 256gb has the same specification as the 1tb. I hope it is the same. Because I know that the new ipad Pro 2024 1tb has a different specification with the lower storages.

Thanks for the detailed video. Is the GW5 Pro display more greying when off while the GW3 Classic is deep black while off. Have you applied any screen guard on the GW5 Pro or is it just the angle? It is greyish even when screen is on. Doesn't look like Amoled screen. Pls clarify.

I'm team Z Fold 5. I don't plan to upgrade because of the massive inner display, plus I enjoy the slim outer screen for more mundane tasks like replying to texts or scrolling through my feed l.
Its not even a comparison for me.. the fold 5 is ten fold nicer. The giant screen is great. I love the narrow scrren on the fold for one-handed use. Once used to the fold, there is no going back to a standard phone, in my opinion.
I will probably trade my s24u in for the z fold 6. Samsung was awful with their QC this year and i got one of displays with grain like the majority of the other preorder phones. It also has absolutely awful banding. Shame that there are $400 phones with better screens than this $1300 phone. I almost dont want to buy the z fold because samsung doesnt deserve anymore of my money.
Im going from S10 to S24U...is that worth the full price? 🥲 I notice these phones dont get discounted much unless you take your chances with refurbished ones. S23U is basically the same price as S24U i noticed
From S10 to S24 Ultra is a very good upgrade but always look for discounts and don't pay full price. I wouldn't risk it with a refurbished one as these may have hidden problems.

I know i’ll be missing the huge screen, but I’m getting tired of opening & closing the fold. 😅 i mostly used the bigger screen, but it’s difficult to do when out & moving. Initially, i liked the narrow screen, as i have small hands. But later on, even if my hands are small, it feels cramped. It strains my hand when i’m composing long emails or chatting for long hours.
I definitely miss the bigger screen to play with and the versatility of the fold. I am finding that i tend to use one app at a time now instead of 2 or more on the fold. However, I enjoy the cameras on the S24 ultra and zoom capability. The bigger S24 ultra screen wins against the fold 5 front screen for daily tasks.
I have ZFold3. Recently after 1 year and half, due to open and close, then inside screen has 1/2 inches black line and right side of the screen touch sensor does not works. I think they need to fix the fold crease. I keep seeing the middle air bubbles getting bigger. Plus this phone is heavy, just like carry 2 phones. I will not get this fold any more, I am trading in for S24 Ultra asap..
Well, I was going to keep my S22 Ultra but the battery wasn't lasting long anymore. Then my Carrier sent an email offering me $800 for my S22 Ultra & I had to grab the 512g Black or Dark Grey Titanium (a great color) I can say, that I'm very satisfied. Even with the natural look of the display. 4k videos shine on this phone! Piece from TX 🤟
Are you kidding me the z fold 4 and z fold 5 is no damn difference just a slightly brighter screen im still very pissed at Samsung for this and I might upgrade my fold 4 to the one plus open stop telling people nonsense fold 5 is no upgrade it's the worst upgrade I have ever seen
You are entitled to your opinion and I respect that. The Fold 4 had a hinge problem. Fold 5 has different hinge design, newer processors, stronger glass, thinner etc. Fold 5 is more complete although for the average user these won't be important distinctions. For me, Fold 5 was the most stable folding device I ever used from Samsung. If your fold 4 doesn't have hinge issues, no need to upgrade.
@Jo3NTech you are wrong there is no damn difference between fold 4 and fold 5 it's the same damn phone and there is no hinge problems with fold 4 every damn foldable can have this problem it's not singled out to just one maybe you should do your research the fold 5 also had hinge problems
In a sense it's the same but to us who love specs and the little differences yes it is different flat design little better chip which contributes to better battery life and yes glass

Traded my fold in if they had better camera and bigger out screen i woulda kept it.. noww if they put fingerprint scanner from fold and put it on ultra be almsot perfect
@@chadd.7816 go for Fold of you want it to be handy! The Ultra is too big for my hands/pocket. The size of Fold is perfect for me plus the rounded edges too!
