Very helpful for replacing my starter. My truck is a 2005 Sport Trac, so it was easier for me to crawl under the front of the truck versus the wheel well. Thanks again.
Did my 06 Duramax today. The bolts were a nightmare. Last 5 took 3 hours. Nothing to grab on to. Corroded heads. Put new cover on and new bolts. 6 hours. Looks good and no leaks.
Watch out using brake clean with chlorine in it. If it burns it makes poison gas, strong and deadly. Still using your JD? I'm looking around to find out how to raise the seat, mine seems to be stuck. Have to remove the deck because the gearbox is locked up, need one of those too.
O i know i have a 03 explorer with 200k with the original timing chains lol idk maybe im just lucky... But in the same breath the suburban has over 350k original engine and knock on wood the original 4l60e trans
I did a more ghetto fix on an old VW golf, just had 2 wires hanging from my steering column that I pressed together to start it. I have an 08 focus with a failing ignition switch right now, but instead of a push button hanging from the dash I got a new ignition switch from rockauto for $24 shipped. Might have been a few bucks more than yours, but I can't complain too much about that.
You're 💯% right. The parts store clowns are absolutely the worst. Every negative stereotype there is... sure seems to be true. People don't try or have pride anymore.
This is amazing man!!!!! Taking mine apart right now and had not seen a video like this which was incredibly helpful! I felt all alone but now I am ready to get back at it tomorrow!! You the best!!
I had a torque converter go bad and it destroyed that seal but also a metal ring/sleeve came out too. Any idea what it would be? Its on the torque converter shaft that goes into the trans
No idea but anything past the seal is the pump i hope it didn't do any damage.. but if its out and that happened to me id probably just change the pump also
The one I changed was the front the plug is located driver side around the rack i belive but if yours has no sensor or cat more then likely the wires were cut and are floating around there should be a blue white and black or maybe gray sorry i wasnt more help
4:25 This is the moment I hoped for and needed to see. It CAN come out the wheel well. Still gonna have to crawl around in the gravel on a cardboard box (aka broke peoples creeper) but at least I don't have to drop it on my face when it comes free.
I don’t know if it’s coincidence or trailer companies trying to screw consumers but I have always done my bearing’s similar to you but the last new trailers I purchased the inside of the race sat flush with the inside of the hub making it impossible to pound out.
I used a inverted torque i for get the size like a e30 on the socket i used a 3/8 swivel and all of my 3/8s extensions about 3 feet worth. Then i used i 3/8 to 1/2 and used my big 1/2in ratchet
Did this stop your leak? I have the same issue but the transmission shop said you’re also supposed to replace the transmission pump bushing or it will leak again soon or right away
A whole front pump is only about $300, like $220 for the pump but Jeep needs Jeep sealing ring kit and probably you’ll need a couple other items plus fluid. It’s the same tranny as Toyota A340, same pump. Jeep just uses a different valve body and has a different bell housing as far as i know so far. If the pump bushing isn’t bad then it’s not bad and that Input shaft seal should seal it up. I bet the pump bushing is easy to do though, if you don’t find a video about it for jeep look for Toyota A340.. you’re sure to find instructions.
@@RobHaag71 ended up doing it myself. Ordered the bushing but it never arrived. Replaced the front seal, overdrive O-ring and rear main. Hardest part is moving that dang transmission/transfer case around it’s HEAVY! No more leaks so far so good
Hey, I just had a quick question if you would, please answer it because I don’t know nothing about motors or none of that I do woodworking and it is beyond me when it comes to mowers and stuff. Hi see that there’s some type of green liquid in that plastic area you have right there in that little plastic on the side. What goes in there cause mines bone dry I bought mine at the auction and it’s bone dry I just wanted to make sure I was putting the right fluid in it is that coolant or is that transmission fluid?
That is a coolant over flow. If its leaking you should be able to see where. Trust me if you do wood working this is easy.. i cant cut a 2x4 straight to save my life.
Watch out using brake clean, if it has chlorine in it and you burn it, it makes poison gas. It's strong and deadly in small amounts. It is mustard gas. Still using your JD? I'm looking around trying to find out how to raise the seat, mine seems to be stuck. Need to remove the deck because the gearbox is locked up.
mine sags over bumps replaced the shocks and does the same i already have the new trailing arms to replace them do you recomend changing the springs also
Great video and way to go with having your kid there with helping you out. He not inside playing video games and will know how to work in his own stuff one day.
